  2. Hello. I would like to share this information with the community, since XDA and F(x)Tech do not seem to be very transparent about this process. IGG is not replying to me either. I reached out to XDA. They are not replying to me anymore. But I will leave this here: XDA/Valnet does not have any current relationship with F(x)Tech. From this email it appears that this project was forgotten during the acquisition by Valnet in January 2022. --- It appears that this product is perhaps too niche?
  3. The biggest problem for me is that I had a microSD card in the Pro1 that is formatted as internal storage. Unfortunately, I no longer have access to my data on the MicroSD card. Is there any way to make the memory card contents readable and back up the data? Stefan
  4. Hello VaZso, Thanks for thinking along and your hints. I'll try this weekend to see if the Pro1 shows any reaction when connected to the computer. I'll report back then. I'll write to support tomorrow and ask if they are able to repair the device. Let's see if I get an answer. Stefan

  6. There might be work around! What if you install different virtual keyboards and select different layout for each one to the physical keyboad settings? Then use Keyboard Switcher and Key Mapper to bring up the pop up for the virtual keyboard selector. I tested it to be working with my self made qwerty phone (bluetooth keyboard). Edit: You can use the same key combo to bring up the keyboard selector. Biggest downside is that you need to change back the prefered virtual keyboard manually if needed for portrait use.

  8. OK, 3/4 of backers, but what about people who ordered from the website and got upgraded to Pro1x? Do they get a survey too?
  9. I'm still using Lineage 16.0 productively, where walking through multiple layouts via Cmd-Space actually works. Did not know this was broken in recent LOS. Still, I much preferred the graphical selector, as I cannot remember the location of characters not printed on the keys ... 😄
  10. Yeah, I was also surprised. I am wondering if the 3/4 is the total shipments so far when this batch is delivered? Or does 3/4 mean directly this batch? Then the total shipments would be even more since some devices were delivered earlier. In the big picture it does not matter but would be interesting to know.

  16. Currently LOS is pretty useless to me only allowing one layout, quite cumbersome to change when you use multiple languages.

  22. Somewhere in this forum there was a thread abot flashing softwares, related to @tdm. Once my friend used his Pro1 for calling, placed it on a table, then the next time he wanted to use it it was off and did not start again. It was replaced by F(x)tec in warranty, but I have tried a few things before sending it back. The phone seemed to be completely dead but under Linux, I could see it is in EDL mode. When I pressed power button for around 10 seconds, it has rebooted, then entered to EDL mode again after a while. So it was constantly on waiting in EDL mode depleting the battery

  24. Have you tried to put Pro1 into a charger for several hours even so nothing happens when you connect the cable? Atleast you can try since there is nothing to lose.
  25. For sure, that wouls be too expensive to respond to the needs of clients, that is more profitable to massively sell an expensive basic device that doesn't realy corespond to users needs ... For summary, I think what killed FX tech is the sum of: Young company + Brexit + Covid + production stop of processors + explosion of the costs of shipments
  26. Hello, I have a Pro1 with LineageOS 16. So far the Pro1 has run without any problems. Yesterday it shut down during operation and won't start again. There is also no response from the charger. I have tried the following so far: - long press on the power button (more than 30sec) - all combinations of the volume buttons pressed with the power button - Disconnected the battery, pressed the power button, reconnected the battery, then tried to start again with all key combinations -battery replaced, Unfortunately, I no longer have any idea what el
