  1. Resurrecting this topic, I have been away from my pro1 for quite some time (got a Titan pocket and I preferred the size of that one). But now I went back to the pro1 due breaking the titan pocket -.-

Going back I took the time to change to LineageOs 19.1, I noticed I still have this same issue. Does anyone know if it is possible to configure some minimum time between presses of the powerbutton? Or is the only option still to just disable that shortcut?

That's some bad luck, the one I replaced around June last year is still go strong. I wonder what happend to @hka. Did you get your repeat failure fixed too?

Yes! Reported that my replacement failed to fxtec Jan 9, provided some photos showing that there was no outside damage to the phone. Got a new screen March 18.

I hope this one lasts more than 6 months.

You are not limited to a single layout, you can easily change.

So if one is better than the other for different purpose, swapping is simple (Ctrl-Space in stock). I swap between Danish and English (and got a few others for testing too)

Is it possible to unbind the ctrl-space shortcut? It messes with my emacs:p

I use FinQWERTY and us international on stock, works great! äåößáśéíµ¤þüúð¿

Hi @hka, have you found a way to get rid of this? i'm in the same boat actually.

All the curved edge + a few mm don't register touches and like you said, if I slide to the edge it works fine.

It's almost impossible to drop the notification bar in landscape.

it look like a software problem and not a hardware one but I can't get rid of it

Edit: I added a screenshot, the green arrow point the closest place i can start a touch but i can hold it to the last line of the display after it began registering it

it's exactly the same on both side

Yeah, they told me it was a driver issue and said that I could send it to them to get it fixed, or they could send instructions so I could fix it myself (with a warning that it would take about 2 hours to perform the fix).

I asked them to send instructions (which they did) but never got around to following them, and after the latest OTA update the issue magically was gone.

So either write to support, or try to just reflash the stock image I guess.

OK, so I received my third display recently after a reversing of the decision by support to only send out a display after me taking a video of the second display with the light bleed.

I am happy to say that this display is much better performing than the first two, however it still appears there are some, albeit small, dead zones at each side of the display. It does mean though that it is usable and I think that's the best I can hope for - would be interesting to see if other people who don't have a problem with their display notice any kind of dead zone on theirs?

For reference, I've uploaded the videos for each of the displays (1,2,3) based on the order in which I received them, 1 being the one originally shipped on the phone, which you can find at https://1drv.ms/u/s!AvH5kRgzlbHGh90jura1HONnjRAIcA?e=Kd0eJT

I got a replacment screen from fxtec and it also has small deadzones at the edges of the screen. Maybe 5 mm wide. But they aren't really dead because they register swipes when I move from the middle of the screen towards the edge. But doesn't register if I swipe from outside an in, or try to press buttons close to the edge.

  6. Now I have taken time and installed the new screen. It works but I noticed that the digitizer doesn't register edge touches. The outer 5 mm on each side doesn't register presses, but the digitizer works in that area if I start swiping from the middle and go out to the edge.

Wonder if it is changed in some firmware for the digitizer...

    Just a quick follow up...

F(x)tec Support sent my replacement screen out on Friday, I received it less than 24 hours later, replaced it as per their video instruction, and it's now working perfectly again!

Only had one moment where I had the two side by side, and nearly forgot which was which...

I hope you get your replacement soon @hka. For me it's top marks for F(x)tec's support, and also for the easy repairability of the Pro1. I lost my Sony Z5C for weeks for a repair under warranty, and had to send it straight back again because it hadn't been repaired properly the first time! This has only reaffirmed my belief that I made the right decision going with the Pro1.

Nice to hear you got it fixed! Good it is easy when you got it. My first contact with support was May 5, and I haven't got anything yet.

I thought I was either going mad, or just being clumsy touching/catching the curved edge while holding the phone, but it seems like mine's also now haunted: https://www.dropbox.com/s/o6tfvb1jx4xwpwm/pro1_touchscreen_issue.mp4?raw=1

Most of the time it's actually fine, which I guess is why I was doubting myself. I've also had the Pro1 over 6 months now, and it's been in use every day. Phone was last charged over 30 hours ago when I took that video, so while I know chargers can cause touchscreen issues, I don't think that's my issue.

I'll contact support and see what they recommend. Phone's been great other than that, (almost) can't fault it!

Looks exactly like mine, for me it started being quite infrequent but got more and more frequent. But recently the frequency has decreased some (think the region of the screen is completly dying).

Support told me they would ship a replacement screen so I can change it myself but this far I have only got emails.

  9. Anyone noticed issue with pressing the power button once registers as a double click? I have configured so double pressing the power button opens the camera (as the dedicated key is stuck with snapdragon camera app). Recently I have sporadic (but quite frequent) issues with the camera starting when I press to turn off the screen.

If it is software debounced, maybe the timing could be extended slightly?
