shymega 1
On a similar note to a car mount, I've been looking at desk mounts, but I'm not sure how to find one that would allow me to use the slider, or if one exists. Haven't actually got my Pro1 yet, just waiting.. but I'm preparing at this moment in time. Does anyone have any suggestions? The reason I'm looking at a desk mount is so I can use my Pro1 at a reasonable height, and also to protect it from the dog 🙂 Thanks!
EskeRahn 5,436
I'm not quite sure what you mean be a "desktop stand", do you mean like a charging cradle? or just a mount like a dashboard car-mount? if the last, many car mounts have a common size ball head, and you can take the holding part and attach to a dashboard-part rather than an air-vent part. The cheap gravity landscape holder I mentioned a few time in the car mount thread allows to use the Pro1 either opened or closed and comes with a dashboard mount, that you could adhere to a plate, or directly to the desk for a fixed position.
altwouss 22
I am using:Â https://www.trust.com/nl/product/18440-aluminium-stand-for-smartphone-and-tablet But they are not producing it anymore. I've used it for phones and tablets (also bigger than 7"). I think there might be similar products available.
PC_ 61
I generally have it sitting open on top of my laptop which is closed (external peripherals for laptop) and primarily interact with it via a bluetooth mouse. I don't use it much for phone calls (Skype for Business on my laptop when working) and only need to type for messaging apps. Sorry for the late reply - yeah, I'll give the gravity holder a go. Just a mount really, charging cradle isn't a huge issue for me. Thanks!

epninety 87
Just to dig up an old thread... I've been working at my desk more than usual for the last few weeks, and I found that I kept losing the Pro1 under the various piles of paper, and that because the back isn't flat, I always have to pick it up to do anything so it doesn't rock around the desktop... So I drew up a quick desk stand design for the 3D printer. I'm up to about iteration 5 over the last 2 days, and I think this works pretty well. Â Happy to send the STL file if anyone else wants to print one. Equally would like to see whatever others have come up with. Rud 123
I've been using a decorative plate stand for about 10 years now. :))) The photo is right side up on my phone, I don't know why the forum keeps flipping it on upload. Usually it sits on its pouch on the desk since opened it's already at an angle. Edited December 26, 2020 by Rud

I've been using the Motorla stock desk dock (has micro USB and mini HDMI, because ports are on the side) and going to miss it.

ddark-il 100
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07K7G2JY7 Â There is a little bit of difficulty with opening/closing slider due to high "tooth"Â at the lower part, but it's not unmanageable. Big pro is that it's adjustable and sturdy enough that you can type on it. Â

Sent you a PM with link for download. Feel free to pass it on if it's useful. You're the only one to ask for it in 5 months, I doubt my server is going to be flattened by download requests 😀
