Did you really receive black Pro1-X and not original Pro1 (snapdragon 835 chipset)? If it really is Pro1-X then it is weird that they produced also black back covers for Pro1-X. In addition to the color, the back cover of Pro1-X is little bit different than back cover of Pro1.

My Pro1-X from Expansis is also black. I think they made a lot of those.

They e-mailed me that they didn't have enough blue devices so they switched me to black. It has XDA logo on the back and a factory label saying Pro1 X 😉 Edited August 26 by asgeirrr
phukfxtec 23
i did not expect it to show up. somehow, it did... box open as expected, battery dead as expected. rubber band is currently rubber banding. will report back when I know it actually turns on... 1
phukfxtec 23
update: rubber band worked. ordered lineage, but it came with regular android. that is a non-issue as I prefer to wipe and flash myself. I have artifacts in screen corners:
claude0001 1,321
Several posts on the IGG comments thread suggest QWERTY variants are out now. Remaining orders seem to be asked to choose between QWERTZ and scandinavian keyboard layout ... 😕 Edit: Has hit the discord channel too, now. kcsmnt0 0
That's me in the Discord, feeling a little stupid now about not asking for my money back a year ago... Anybody know if it's possible to swap the keycaps around, at least?

No we can't, it is a mat, sorry, but you can change what the keys actually return. I have for five years used a Pro1 qwertZ setup for qwertY (as I disliked the shifted qwerty) using FINQWERTY the nice open source work by @Anssi Hannula, and selected a Danish layout. Oh, that was interesting, have no recollection on that, thanks Found this thread. And this. So indeed it IS possible.
claude0001 1,321
Can't find it back either. But I just checked: If you *carefully* lift the edge of a cap with a pair of tweezers, you can see the transparent mat below. So the keycaps indeed seem to be individual parts. Not something that was meant to be user-customizable, but it does seem possible ... 1
raymo 177
I do that on my old pro1 No problem with the key himself, it stills work today. (but doesn't solve my keyboard problem, other story) Sorry the picture is blurry but could be interessant to give an idea from the dark side of the pro1s keyboard... 1
FlyingAntero 869
I had already forgot this picture but the discussion here helped me to remember. Individual keys are indeed possible to swap or even rotate x).
Mr.TvolaCZ 0
Hi Everyone, I ordered (and paid) in November 2020. Do you gyus think it will ever be delivered, or is there any chance of getting money back?
Rob. S. 1,643
@Mr.TvolaCZ, as of now, it seems there's still a slight chance to get the device delivered, see their latest update: How a potential time frame will look also depends on whether you backed the phone on Indiegogo or ordered it from their website; the above info is for Indiegogo backers. I was told by them the remaining website orders would ship after those (so there's still a tiny bit of hope I might yet receive my 2019 Pro1 order, changed to Pro1X later, some day, as some devices have actually been shipped over the past few months, and so I've still not completely given up). (I also keep in mind that even if I do get the phone after all, there's still the open question of how much of it will even work, with chances ranging from dim to nonexistent to get the device repaired or replaced at that point.) Refund options also depend on whether it's Indiegogo, which would mean no, there is no such option, or a website order, in which case you might request a refund, but it might not happen. For website orders, depending on someone's country's rules and regulations, one might be able to apply for a refund through one's credit card company, though. Edited 3 hours ago by Rob. S.
