I really think Pro1x backers and buyers are fooled really big. They worked on the new project since at least one year.

It's an interesting video, actually. I wouldn't expect in such a venue that he would mention the troubles they have had with the Pro1x.

What I did hear, between the lines, is that just about the time everything went to shit (being swindled on the SOCs for the Pro1x, Covid, etc), they went on a hunt for new projects that would bring investment.  I suspect that is actually how we got to this point where the only thing holding up the Pro1x is that for some reason, they can't get them shipped out of China.  Since I see that happening to other projects, I'm not  sure it's just about the money (though I'm guessing warehouses in China have really inflated shipping prices post-pandemic). 

If the web 3 stuff  gives them sufficient investment capital, working with other companies, to be able to move back into the non-web3 kbd smartphone market and wrap up the Pro1x shipments, I'm for it.

I worry a little bit (I watched most of the video, not all) at the lack of mention of Chen. It could be just a reflection that Chen isn't involved in the Web 3 venture, but I hope it doesn't mean that Chen is kind of being moved out.

Will be interesting to see what the next update brings.

I'm not saying you are wrong. I just continue to hold out a little more hope in my guess.  😉  I know, I know...

Just watched the full thing and 30minutes in Adrian mentions on "...we are working on other products...", "....they are keyboard related....", "they will use F(x)tec brand or something else" so I guess they at the least are considering a successor... 😁 🤞

And I agree with the sad vision of steff/vdvdvd, to the extent that we at the at least can not rule out that the focus on their new device(s) can be at the least part of the reason why the many pending Pro1(X) have not been delivered (yet?). They way he talks about the Pro1/Pro1X in the beginning seems to indicate that it focus-wise is in the past, and not anything given focus on improving. Obviously I could be misinterpreting his signals, there might be others working dedicated on the Pro1/Pro1X still - but I must admit that is a thin hope...

Well we have to accept that we have been abandoned. I mean, don't get me wrong, I don't want to judge them.
I don't know what shit they had to go through. But at the moment, we are just cut off. No more news, no more excuses just nothing.
So I guess they have just moved on.

If that is the case, I would wish for them to just tell us the truth and just tell everyone that the crowdfunding campaign has flopped. That would at least put an end to the waiting.

My take on this, is their staff are on other projects and rather than sending an update, that many of us saw this was more of an non-update, they may have saw that and just delayed it until something substantial was to be shared.

Possible, but the last 10 updates or so have already been non-updates... so this would mean a step shift in strategy 😄

Ok... The one positive thing I take from the video is around 26'00", where Adrian talks about the F(x)tec brand (as opposed to whatever brands they'll be marketing all that "Web 3" stuff under) , saying "the brand is very close to our hearts, we love the naming and we're looking forward to future products that come out within the F(x)tec space", and, as @EskeRahn already quoted, "we're also working on other products [beside the Web 3 stuff] that I can't say too much about at the moment but they're also very exciting, they're keyboard related, they'll use the F(x)tec brand or something else", which at least hints at the possibility of a Pro1/Pro1X successor device... It sure was clear that they needed to find something else to build in order to generate revenue from, and I hope for them whatever they come up with thatwill be more commercially successful than their fate-ridden Pro1/Pro1X phones...
