I am pleased to say the issue has been resolved by Casey with fantastic support and the faulty hardware swapped out. Phone back in my hands. Thank you very much @Casey and everyone who commented on the thread.

Hello all So good news and bad news! I tried the alternative steps that @Caseykindly suggested but to no avail. So as I am determined to sort this out I wondered if it was my laptop so I factory rebooted it. It worked, using the original method. Sadly the fingerprint scanner still doesn't feature in the security options. Also oddly the device storage was locked at 8GB. So I resetted the Android to factory and went back to 256GB. Did the flashing again and same thing 8GB max so reset Android and back to 256GB. But at a loss now as to resolving the original issue

Thank you Casey. Sorry to clarify, I download the complete QPST package and then extract it which then gives me the all manor of things as well as the QFIL application. What is odd though is that the QFIL can only be accessed on the downloads folder of my C Drive and it does not show up in the actual Programme Files or App Data on the C Drive. Not sure if that could be the problem. But will read through the guide for sure.

OK no joy I am afraid. The actual QFIL green arrow cannot be seen in the App Data / Roaming folder where it lives so I am having to access it from the Download folder. I will show some more screenshots. Thing is, if I know this has a 1 in 30 chance of working, I will keep trying it until it goes through. Just don't want to keep doing the same thing if it won't work. Do I need to ensure Sim Card is removed? Shall I try resetting phone and doing it from a fresh android start up screen? Just trying to think of ways to get it to go through.

Thanks Casey. I would definitely like to avoid sending the unit if I can help it so willing to keep trying anything I can my end.

As an update, I thought I would try the latest version of Qfil to see what happens and it did not work either. Sahara Fail!

Hi @Casey, apologies for the delay but I was working away yesterday so only had the chance to try these steps out last night. So good news and bad news! The extraction process worked with 7Zip and I have managed to get all the correct files and I am using the older version of QFil but I am still getting the Sahara issue after several attempts. As I locked the phone to Andorid, do I need to unlock it for this to work? Now I have all the extracted files, should I try the newer version of Qfil? Is there an alternative way I can flash the stock ROM? I will keep trying i

I am afraid my efforts to flash the ROM have failed again with the same issues as yesterday. Have included some images incase anyone can offer any advice. I've checked the document and followed it I believe to the letter several times but not getting anywhere!

I will do that. Just to confirm phone is fine in EDL mode and can be seen on the PC as per the instruction pack. I thought I'd share these photos from the extraction of the file. Had this every time I have run it. Starts fine and as per the screenshot in the instruction pack. Not sure if it is normal. But wondered if this was why my flashing attempt was unsuccessful

As a side note I do need the full functionality of Android such as Google pay and so on which is why I haven't attempted to do one of the other ROM options.

Thank you. I have factory reset several times to no avail. I tried to install the stock OEM yesterday but it didn't work. What I will do now I am aware of this excellent support network is show the error message I am getting on QFIL.

Thank you will try that Is there a way I can tell if I am on stock Android or not please? Especially as my attempt to re root it to stock was not a success!
