It took me a week to transfer money from my bank to theirs, so a bit of patience is needed.

I realize that, but it's the physical appearance thing that's taking forever. It has been 6 business days with yesterday and they haven't gone to a branch of their bank to initiate the refund.

Where abouts are you?  UK that should have cleared straight away for instance.

Germany. I already emailed support and apparently their "business bank" requires a director to go there physically and approve every bank transfer. Sounds weird imho, but whatever. At the very least, support is very cooperative.

  3. I don't think anyone is getting upset that it's taking longer, or that they are not shipping their CEO to the warehouses for real-time GPS updates.
There seems to be some kind of framing going on that people are flailing around ranting about not having a tracking number.

In my opinion that is wrong, and fxtec dug their hole themselves. Everyone was surprised when they announced shipping to pre-orders on Oct. 29. Nobody forced them to give that concrete date. Likewise nobody forced them to claim batches would be sent within days, and that pre-orders would be completed by end of october.

Chen now going for the witch hunt defense shows a severe lack of reflection. There is no message here that they are not doing their absolute best. The message is that they keep advancing wrong claims and don't correct their estimates which is unequivocally true. Nobody is asking Chen to get himself shipped with a GPS chip, but what about taking a minute to update "first batch arrived at UK warehouse".

Where I think this line of reasoning goes wrong is that essentially you're asking them to take time and effort away from actually getting product out the door to give information that won't change anything in the end other than make a few people feel satisfied while everyone waits yet a little longer.

A post "sorry we messed up and haven't shipped because X" literally takes 5 minutes AND will save a ton of hours from support. Where is the reasoning flaw now?

Some of you sound like screaming toddlers whose parents didn't get them a cookie fast enough.

If history has taught us one thing, it's that equating people online to toddlers solves problems reliably!!

If you don't understand people who paid money to a company that provides no updates or false updates for no reason at all are upset then you can get bent... as you recognized people are excited about the device so there was no reason to hype the batches being sent "within days" instead of telling the truth, that the first batch is very small and that the second large batch will follow in mid november.

If your toddler pays you for a cookie, and you keep telling tomorrow but then don't have the cookie and pretend everything's as planned, then 1. you're a terrible parent and 2. I don't know a single toddler who wouldn't be crying bloody murder.

  6. You guys need to seriously invest on some people who are good at communication. What a way to completely wreck any trust your customers might have, no matter how good the product actually is and how much of a good job you might be doing.

Here's a list of the recent lies:

    • "small batches will follow within days of each others" now it's half a month (mid november), W.T.F. Also now the first batch is infinitesimally small, too bad you omitted this information -_-
    • "shipping to customers on the 29th" (now it's shipping to warehouses, what a loophole)
    • "pre orders probably completed end of october" (now it's end of november)
    • "we are not giving updates because everything is still on track" yeah it's just a month later now, nothing to see or update here guys!

I know lies is a strong wording but damn, just look up your own posts Eric... These are things you stated! If you are unsure about something, THEN SAY SO.
