0xF 0
The spec says "Quick Charge 3.0", but Wikipedia says here and here that the Snapdragon 835 features Quick Charge 4. Could you please clarify that?
EskeRahn 5,471
It is QC3. Just got it confirmed. (And no, I do not know what other component(s) preventing it from doing QC4)
SirBaconIII 66
(And no, I do not know what other component(s) preventing it from doing QC4) I'd be really interested to know what's preventing that implementation. My guess would be the charging port itself, but I know literally nothing on the topic. It does seem that one addition between quick charge 3 and 4 is USB-PD, and since Google now makes that a requirement (https://www.xda-developers.com/google-new-android-devices-type-c-support-usb-pd/) I wonder if it would become a possibility? Mind you, this is all just speculation on my part, so please take it with a grain of salt.

All has to be dimensioned for a higher current/power throughput...
Noir 112
There is certainly another circuit involved, Power Management and charging are as far as I am aware of 2 additional ICs. They have to meet the specifications aswell, and there might be the bottleneck to QC4.0 1
