NukaNegan 8
Can we get a website similar to what Google gives for its hardware binaries and firmware images, like so? https://developers.google.com/android/drivers It would make it way easier to support the community and the development of alternate ROMs, or to roll your own without having to: On 3/3/2020 at 11:59 AM, tdm said: Similar to pretty much any other Android phone, you do a build by pulling binaries off the device. I don't know if FxTec has provided any "official" kernel sources but this repo has the full OEM history, which is a step above your typical "here's a tarball" that most every other OEM does: https://github.com/tdm/android_kernel_idealte_msm8998/commits/oem-history Is there a walkthrough for pulling binaries off a device? What is the procedure to factory restore a device if you brick it when making a ROM? 3

You'll be lucky to just get support equal to other manufacturers. On 3/16/2020 at 7:47 AM, NukaNegan said: Is there a walkthrough for pulling binaries off a device? Read the Lineage wiki. I'm sure this is covered in detail. Hint: extract-files.sh. On 3/16/2020 at 7:47 AM, NukaNegan said: What is the procedure to factory restore a device if you brick it when making a ROM? If you need to do a full factory restore (you won't if you are careful), just grab the latest fastboot package and flash it, then "fastboot -w" to erase userdata.
NukaNegan 8
It can't be that hard to get the information and downloads put on a website. You don't have to be google to do that. Or... post all of it in the forum so it can be easily referenced and gathered from a pinned topic. A one stop shop. They boast about being ROM friendly but don't really help the creators. That's one of the reasons I grabbed this phone was to have a open experience with a keyboard.
