  1. Roger that!! Maybe I will have a go at the prying bit. And def no glue? Either way, appreciate your effort to reply and guide. support@fx has closed their email - tried from multiple email accounts. Super pisd that I need to rely on someone like yourself that has no connection for suggestions and advice - talk about a scam business. Thanks again, will try your suggs - most grateful!
  2. Thanks heaps for the walk through. Not sure which screws or which mobile you're referring to :-) as the screws are beyond the smallest I've ever seen - no fingernail would have a chance. Anyway, I removed the screws, and backed out because even with (maybe too fragile effort) my effort, I couldn't budge the plate. There was no give in the plate to assure me, so I returned the screws and may be better off taking the mobile to a repair shop. Am just not confident to remove the plate without breaking the phone - I tend to break stuff - lessons learned the financially painful way -
  3. Thanks for your input, this helps with the frustration. I can only base my level of sanity on the experience of others, as they've tread the path before me.
  4. Hey mate, Thanks heaps for the reply and the suggestions. Firstly - I don't have any tools that small to remove the screen to check the display connection, so I'll need to track something down. Considering I was a backer for the Pro1-X, and 2+ years later have only just received the mobile, within the last cple of weeks, am a little concerned about removing a display which has a hinge connecting it to the main body. I will give it a go though, and check. Also appreciate the link for Ali-express, however am not paying anything extra for a brand new mobile. Respectfully, if t
  5. Also - I check the power button was super tight, squeezed in by the rubber bands. There is literally no give.
  6. I tried doing mpg to show the cycle loop, just vibrate with the red light every cple of seconds. Clip was too large to post.
  7. Thank you I haven't taken it off charge the entire 60+ hours it has been plugged in. I've merely added the rubber band, super tight, removed it, let it sit and attempt to boot, and rinse and repeat. Been at this since 11am Friday morning and it's now 1800 Sunday Australian time. ADD by moderator: I split this out from the original thread on the rubber band trick for charging here.
  8. Thanks for the reply. 48 hours with the rubber band. Super super tight - no tissue to protect the screen, couldn't budge the band by hand! There has been a black screen the entire time No visuals nothing. There is a green light which changes to red indicator light, nothing else. The backlight on the keypad comes on when the phone is opened. I can also hear sounds as though something is happening, in terms of when trying to boot on. When the rubber band was on - there seemed to be a constant cycling loop, from the sounds emanating. The first rubber b
  9. HI, Finally received my phone, Pro1-X Model QX1050, email support refused to assist in responding to any messages. Found my way here through google search, to learn I needed a rubber band for a mobile that won't start - no boot, nothing. Did this - still absolutely nothing. Pretty peeved, like maybe some of you, to wait 2+ years for a phone that needs a rubber band, and doesn't work. To spend coin, place trust, and this is the result. Nuff said, no doubt others have the same issue. If there is anyone that can provide assistance turning this overpriced expensive door st
