Wasmachineman_NL 99
Rather obscure question, but would Rockbox run on Android/the Pro1? I currently use a Nokia N900 for Rockbox, but since thats a ten year old phone by now i'm planning on upgrading to a Pro1. Bonus question: can I use the keyboard with AMD Link? netman 1,424
There is a rockbox port for android, which looks like it should work but i have not tried it myself (also I don't have a pro1 yet to test on the exact hardware). And there appears to be the catch that builds and themes are specific for a given screen resolution and a build for 2160x1080 is not something i could find, so you'd have to compile it from source yourself most likely (you need a pc with loads of ram, like 8gb or more, and some patience). There is a page telling what is supported and what not (no fm radio and no recording, otherwise sounds good) and how to compile it etc here: https://www.rockbox.org/wiki/AndroidPort TD;DR You can probably make it work, but it'll be a bit of work. elvissteinjr 359
There's nothing stopping you from using the keyboard with AMD Link. As long as they support keyboard input it will work. Android supports hardware keyboards natively, so it's not like it's a hacked implementation from F(x)tec. Even if that doesn't work, there are alternatives for streaming from your PC such as Steam Link or Parsec, with the latter having the lowest latency in my experience. Sounds like I'll have to try and port RiD's ROCKN900 (https://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=89615) theme from the N900 to Android. As for AMD Link: cool, that basically means I can play PC games on my phone!
