We are committed to bring Android security update under 90 days, as Android One devices.

For future update, such as Android Q: We are committed to bring the update whatever we can. However, the actual update will also depend on Qualcomm / Google's support on the chipset. We hope we can get the support we needed to be able to work on for the next update. We will do our best to get it.

(P.S: There is also Plan B for getting future update)

I know that you are doing your best :). However, I wish that you are as transparent as possible regarding to software updates. Just let us know if updates are coming or not (when you know). It is unpleasant to just wait without knowing what is going to happen.

Google is going to update Pixel 2 phones to Android R (Android version updates guaranteed till October 2020, link) and Pixel 2 phones are using same chipset (Snapdragon 835) than Pro1. So in theory, even Android R could be possible.
