ahunter 108
Randomly the keyboard will continually repeat a letter once pressed. Stops once you hit another key. Same behaviour weather using hardware or on screen keyboard. Also noticed same behaviour on my Asus TX201LA when using hardware keyboard on android. Current GBoard input language is set to English (Australian) Current FxTec Pro1 input language is (Default) I am unsure if the input language is the issue or something else? Same issue on my ASUS TX201LA Tranformer Trio, running Android 4.2 and Windows 10 https://www.asus.com/2-in-1-PCs/ASUS_Transformer_Book_Trio_TX201LA/HelpDesk_Download/ The ASUS TX201LA runs two separate processors, one in the screen portion for Android and the other in the dock portion for Windows. The ATK update for windows seemed to fix both that is coupled with the matching bios. POST 2 & 3 Could be exacerbated by other programs e.g. Swift Key and Button Mapper I feel it is more Bios or Firmware related though. OTHER THEORY Use "External Keyboard Helper" to adjust or disable key delays https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.apedroid.hwkeyboardhelper&hl=en_AU I have downloaded this app and changed only the following settings, no root required. 1. >Choose keyboard layout >SELECTED [No remapping] (F(x)tec keyboard seems to function correctly with Fn keys) 2. >Advanced Settings >Key repeating >Key repeat delay > SELECTED No key repeating 3. No key repeating thus far, will keep this status up to date. https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Lenovo-Android-based-Tablets-and/Tab-4-bluetooth-keyboard-repeating-letters/td-p/3939493 Edited February 7, 2020 by ahunter
