Kzin 32
As the title suggests, I am unable to send or receive SMS messages. It just stopped a few days ago. it appears to send them, but they are not. Calls are working fine. I have tried the following actions to get it to go: I have downgraded to lineage-21.0-20240615-nightly-pro1-signed, (this fixed the camera, but not the SMS issue) I removed the sim and put it back. I put my SIM in another phone, SMS is working there. Is it possible I have tweeked a setting? Edited September 15 by Kzin

Kzin 32
I don't under stand it either. Main thing is it's working now. I have to assume that putting my SIM in the other phone, reset something, so it worked when I put it back in the Pro1.
Kzin 32
This is back now and above fix is not helping. we are in a low signal area and the phone used to give an error (cannot send etc) but now they appear to send, but are not received. Is there a debug/logging mode for SMS?
Hook 3,010
Are you in the US and are you on Verizon? I ask because this was the problem I had when I used to try to have my Pro 1 on Verizon. It would work fine and then some aspect of the SMS would fail. Then it would come back without my being able to explain how and then, after a while it would break again. I gave up and put my Pro 1 on T-Mobile. Have never had SMS fail. This was back a couple of years before Verizon became so aggressive about whitelisting.

Discussions with Mrs MonCon revealed that some texts had disappeared into the ether, apparently delivered from my end, never received to her end. Like you, I put my sim into a backup phone and it worked, then back into my PrawnX and it worked. It's just started playing up again. On Friday I sent Mrs MC a few texts from the dining room to the lounge, and when we compared notes, again a few missing. Don't think I've been missing any incoming, but I'll ask around, and no other connectivity issues in 2 years. I've looked at the generic recommended settings, APN and the like, and all looks good. Not that I've even been tinkering in the first place. I would suggest maybe getting a Vodafone (One) prepay in your 2nd slot, or maybe trying your 2degrees SIM in your 2nd slot and seeing how you go. Maybe 2degrees are turning into the Kiwi Verizon. 1

Unfortunately I'm looking at getting another phone. We are just out of CHCH and signal is bad, would be good to have Wifi Calling, as well as txts that send reliably.
