Well, as the original poster, I thought I might follow up on this.
I was finally able to get in touch with fxtec support back in March (I think their messages may have initially been marked as spam). After requesting and receiving some pictures of the phone to ensure it had not been physically damaged, fxtec support advised me that I had two options:
1) They could immediately send me a replacement screen, along with a link of a video on how to replace the screen myself
2) I could send the phone in for repair, but their service center was out of stock of replacement screens unt
