Did everyone get the "Pro1 shipping update" mail? Also the ones who got their "stock assigned" mail yesterday?
Are the "stock assigned" mails for batch #2 now all sent out or are there still some coming next week?

Time for me to familiarize myself with Debloater...

I assumed they started order numbers at 10000 in their system for "formatting purposes"
I've got a four digit order number (9XXX) - sorry.

In the last production update video where Adrian announced the shipping date, he also mentioned some software being send in for licensing and approval.
From my view this is the only remaining forseeable thing that could go wrong and delay the product launch.
Please for my sanity, keep us informed about the approval status.

FCC aside… they were thinking of CE as well, right? …right?
Heh... I sure hope so. Since they're based in Europe they should have thought of all the necessary documents for CE certification. I don't expect they're going to repeat this customs disaster that happened with the first batch of Pebble watches.

I think, I'll go with a glass protector this time. It won't cover the edges, but I tried a three-pack of soft protectors on my Priv when I had it brand new and none of them stuck to the screen for more than three months. They didn't even peel off but rather managed to slowly slide off the top of the phone. Have been using the Priv naked ever since. If the glass protector won't stick to the Pro1 either, this will go naked as well.

Well, we have an official newsletter now confirming the delay.

I wonder how many stories of dropped phones we'll get here in the coming weeks. I recommend opening the phone for the first time while sitting on a couch. The mechanism has some serious and unexpected kickback.

Fun fact: the "Pro1_German_QWERTZ.jpg" is the very first QWERTZ prototype with a one of a kind misprint of the keyboard (key bumps are on G and K instead of F and J). That thing is going to be valuable some day ;)

From what I remember of the Düsseldorf meetup, optional sticky modifiers are definitely on the todo list.

I have two VISA cards. Tried my Amazon VISA twice, which was declined both times.
Tried my other VISA and it went through without a problem :/
(bye bye Amazon Points)

I can only pick from three phones with pkb I've used at all - that being the Blackberry Curve 8900, the SonyEricsson Xperia Mini Pro and the Blackberry Priv. They rank like this:
1. Xperia Mini Pro
2. BB Priv
3. Curve 8900
I feel like I have to add, that the Curve was my work phone... and looking back - I hated it. The Priv is the one I'm currently using. I bought it to upgrade from my trusty Mini Pro which had an incredible lifespan with custom firmware that did it's best to get around the limiting internal storage by using a partitioned microSD. And it's still working. The Priv looked like a good choice at the time with promises of long term regular updates. The locked down OS came back to bite my butt when BB decided to drop support two years after launch. I still think a landscape slider would have been the better option. I mean - the Mini Pro even has arrow keys while the Priv doesn't. At least it's a slider - not a fan of "always on" keyboards.
The Pro1 can't come soon enough.

I've heard enough Germans falsely call it "String" ... so no worries ;)

Click the account silhouette, and select pre-orders in the left band.
OMG... that thing is blue on blue... this is first time I've seen that small icon below "Contact"
Thanks a lot.

There's a pre-orders section?

When shifting everything to the left, don't forget to move the nubs on F and J to the lest as well, not just the printed on letters. ;)
I'm all for EskeRahn's layout.

+1
I'm on the brink of pre-ordering but I really don't want QWERTY.

First thing I do recommend before applying a protector is taking a nice hot shower.
Then after getting dressed you have a nice humid room to work in with almost no dust particles left in the air.
