By the number of contacts, I expect only USB 2.0 signaling is supported (just like the included charger). I am not sure what is really different except that connection is generally instant rather than relatively slow to reach all contacts. Interesting, I usually use magnetic cables too, BUT not charge-only, but cables that can do data as well. Could try with a 'dumb' cable, and see if that makes a difference. I am on november 28 lineageos and my phone was charger many times 🙂 I got a pro1 on 2022-12-12 LineageOS and had the issue a few hours ago....

Interesting, because I have almost never seen the problem on my Pro 1, and I have been using magnetic connectors since forever. Mine can do data as well as charge. Rob. S. 1,661
Just for the record, my magnetic connectors (data + charging, with at least some quick charge capability) have not prevented the charging problems on my Pro1 running LOS 18 (state going to 'not charging' instead of either 'charging' or 'discharging'). With the Pro1X, I'm still lucky to not have experienced it.
Benni 183
FYI my Pro1x with Lineage just ran into this problem - and I can't get it to charge correctly now. I tried tried pressing power for 10s and attaching an OTG device. The debug info is from the phone attached to my laptop. * The original charger shows the same behavior as a PD charger: It says "charging fast", but predicts >1h for 10% charge * The fast and dumb charger worked fine before flashing lineage - may be a coincidence though. Update: the prediction with 86% battery to full is 1h14min with "fast-charge" and 2h with "slow-charge" so there is a difference. That close to full, the charging-circuit ought to reduce the charging current significantly (any device), to protect the health and overall lifespan battery, so makes sense that it in this almost-full end, predicts times not hugely apart

And the Pro1 on the same charger took 20min for 27%. And simply said: "charging" instead of "charging slowly". PS: Charging is not stopped completely - just very slow. The Pro1x charged slowly overnight - which is the idea of using a dumb charger. - But it loses battery while plugged into a computer transferring data, which is bad. Update: * Predicted 7h from 70% to full for slow charging * Predicted 1h20 when fast charging UPDATE2: My other dumb charger leads to a prediction from ~70% to full of a 1h10, so I don't think Lineage has anything to do with the very slow charging.
