Pro1X, Terrible GPS signal

Add: Sorry, remembered wrong. It is an autorotate-bug.
IF you open it, with an app supporting landscape THEN the orientation is shown correctly.

I have a similar bug with the 835-Pro1 (in OsmAnd~ and SatStat). Often, the compass is 90° off with the keyboard either flipped in or out. Rotating the phone in all directions often helps to re-calibrate it to the right direction. But, obviously, if you have to know from other sources which direction of "north" is correct, the "compass" is essentially useless.

Fedex just dropped off my new toy a half an hour ago.  Did a quick and dirty GPS comparison outside (Northern NJ).  After clearing the agps data on both and waiting about 2 minutes, got the results below.  Flip 3 on the left, Pro1-X on the right.  gps2.jpg.121f210a38309b367d787c2642e9e26d.jpg

I agree in principle, though it is seldom that you do not have a rough idea of the direction. (cloudy night with no moon e.g., or no idea of the time of day).

And just checked here, the Pro1 got similar problems, though it seems to more often have portrait not landscape correct.... 🤬

Not true in a big city at night. You see no stars, no moon, no nothing. The Pro1 compass is actively disorienting me in such cirumstances. But OK, I like the phone nonetheless ... 🙂
