They seem to be mildly successful with one or two other products, so their existence might not be in immediate danger... I'd really like to see the slider phone product line continued, though, but the chances for that look a bit dim at this time. As for cooperations with Fxtec, another British company comes to mind which doesn't produce phones (yet?), but another niche product, Linux laptops: Star Labs (https://de.starlabs.systems/). bought a samsung fold 4 and it allows the screen to be used like the pro1/x it took me about 2 hours to get used to the typing but its realy nice would recommend for people who are realy looking for this layout of a keyboard and screen combo also you can just switch to each type of keyboard you want qwerty qwertz . the only downside to this setup is that u dont have the clicky feel idk why at the beginning of the year i was hoping for a positive result in shipping the devices but clearly i was wrong lets hope fx tec does not go under . i wanna see a colab of them and unihertz

Considering I still get security updates for my (admittedly "unofficial") Lineage on my 2014 Samsung Tab S, I think so. If they stop making official builds down the line, there will no doubt be someone who can keep patching older builds with current security patches, Like @claude0001does for Lineage 16.

Seeing that even on the original Pro1 there still is an official up-to-date LineageOS, now that LineageOS is also official for the Pro1X I'm actually inclined to be cautiously optimistic in that regard...
