Just another "me too" here. I've received my pro1x a few days ago, i haven't tried cellular (and don't plan to), only using it on Wi-Fi, but it is really awful. Sitting 2 meters away from the access point in the same room, direct line of sight, it fails to maintain a Wi-Fi connection; it frequently disconnects. Speeds are less than 10 mbit at that distance, when it can connect at all. Even a simple ssh session to another computer on my local network lags, stalls, and disconnects to the point of being unusable. 😭 (I have never disassembled it and there's nothing rattling.)

Rubber band worked for me! I had a power meter attached. During the process, there was a 150mA pulse approximately once every 10 seconds while the power button was depressed. After about 5 hours, the LED turned into a fast blinking red light, and charging rate increased to 500mA. When I saw this, I removed the rubber band. A short time later, the screen turned on, Android booted and charging rate went up to 2000mA.
