tried it again, volte not working at least for me as ims is not registred.

well in the lineage gerrit you can see that a IMS fix is beeing worked on. Can't be working on aicp as it is lieage based, or can it 😉

I tried it and had the same IMS issue like with lineage 17.1, has anyone volte working?

I can't get volte and vowifi to work with 17.1. It did work with 16.

tbh i am quite annoyed because of the weak signal. evey other phone has like 2 to 3 bars. i have zero.

Well volte and vowifi are quite complex. If i am not mistaken there are soc based settings that are on some special part of the rom. I think you can get them with some qualcom flashing tools. But first you need a provisioned phone with the same soc and comapatible firmware. 😉 Played around my moto z... well i failed 😉

yeah the problem is if you install a broken magisk module you can't boot. You can boot if you install the original bootloader but when you boot with it you can't uninstall the magisk module. That is why the "core" bootloader.

Well i also wasn't fond of factory resetting it :=)
Btw i forgot to mention that after you flash the "core" version you have to flash it back to the magisk patched version or else you will have the .disable-magisk file created every boot 😉

well if you play around a bit with magisk modules and the phone does not boot. You can flash back the original bootloader and the phone will boot again. But the problem is that you can not uninstall the problamatic magisk module as the magisk manager is not able to see the installed modules. The solution is the so called "core" magisk version.

I used the aproach that disables magisk modules after flashing the patched bootloader. When you boot the device remove the problematic module, delete .disable-magisk file from the /cache and that is all 😉

well i have it for quite a while now this are my pros and cons:
pro:
-keyboard
-custom firmware (unlocked bootloader)
-good battery
-the n900 notification light
-good build quality
-what you would expect
cons:
-bad call quality (people can't understand you)
-weak wifi signal
-os not the best (if you want vowifi you need lineage), needs development
-ghost touches
-fingerprint sensor
-shifted keyboard layout to the right... why not use a normal one...
-proper camera software (or a gcam port that works)
things i would want to have but are not cons:
-smaller n900 like phone
-stylus
-wireless charging
-a case that fits
