Why we do not know anything about how this happened, if there was any legal action etc? I call BS.

FlyingAntero 871
Not dead after all? New blog post just posted. "We are excited to inform you that we expect to restart shipping before the 28th of June, pending your completion of the form. This will cover approximately 3/4 of all our backers. We will continue our efforts to reach out to the remaining backers shortly thereafter." 2
EskeRahn 5,493
Big surprise. After month of silence they got an update on IGG https://community.fxtec.com/topic/3326-pro¹-x-–-state-of-production-and-delivery/?do=findComment&comment=68604 2
earlybirdbacker 1
Hello. I would like to share this information with the community, since XDA and F(x)Tech do not seem to be very transparent about this process. IGG is not replying to me either. I reached out to XDA. They are not replying to me anymore. But I will leave this here: XDA/Valnet does not have any current relationship with F(x)Tech. From this email it appears that this project was forgotten during the acquisition by Valnet in January 2022. --- It appears that this product is perhaps too niche?
antinee 1
I must be one of the lucky ones. I was an early backer because I wanted the best deals on Indiegogo. I received my Pro1 and my Blue Pro 1 X early. I received the Pro 1 X almost a full year before Covid hit and all the shipment emails of back orders for other people's phones started arriving. To this day, both phones are snappy and work great. However, the real power of physical keyboard is from the Google Play Store app named Keyboard Mapper. The app is awesome. I always use physical keyboard shortcuts to open Apps, write -out/remember passwords, addresses, phone numbers, or common pre-written phrases that I find myself writing. Or, like I have Crtl left arrow as brightness down, Crtl right as brightness up, Crtl up is vol up and crtl down arrow is vol down. And on and on. I have physical shortcuts for everything. I can even split the screen with one touch of a button then select the second app I want on the second half of the screen. I am currently using the "Sym" button to split the screen to two apps. Also, You can get apps on the Google Play store that launches 2 apps at a time. Honestly now in 2025, the Pro 1 X is not the fastest or best for high power phone gaming. But still very snappy and much faster at productivity than any other of my Android phones, including my Asus ROG Phone 7 Ultimate because of the keyboard shortcuts. I still use it today when my 7 ultimate is charging or I just want to shut-out gaming and junk and just be productive. However, some apps are already starting to NOT support Android 11. It breaks my heart that the company seems dead. I actually came here today to see when the next F(X) Phone would be released. Where do we (physical keyboard lovers) go from here? 😞

My best suggestion is LineageOS on your Pro1/Pro1X, as this is Android15, so should be supported a few years yet by most apps.... But indeed for new hardware we are in a limbo, And i really doubt that anyone will attempt making a new one - though I still hope for it....

For me personally it means that I again carry around my notebook all the time. It was nice to restart servers from my phone. I know this is still possible, but the touchscreen-hassle makes it impossible to do it properly.
