That's just weird. If all else fails, I can buy you one and ship it from here. Though our shipping rates for EU small packages are even more absurd than the german ones 😅 Seems like it'll be just as expensive, as the entire screen with shipping from China.

Hello. I’ve been using my Pro1x as my only phone for two years now, everywhere I go. Yes, I have black corners and a big black spot on the screen too, and the reception, call quality, and internet performance are mediocre. But... I own a Pro1x—something truly special. It turns heads wherever I go; no one has ever seen or used anything like it. It’s a very exclusive device, and I actually use it. I’m proud of it and have to take my hat off to FxTec for actually pulling it off. My display is broken now, but I’m sure I can sort that out, too. And I don't care that the big players like App

As an update to the previous, I have been using the phone as a daily driver for this entire time. Recently, around 2-3 months ago I noticed a worsening connection quality compared to before. Internet is very choppy and I've now had multiple missed calls because they do not connect. I am getting a Jolla Phone which I will be transferring to with a cheap android phone for crucial apps like banking apps.

Hi @jsreed5, I hope your offer is still available. I was out on a fire department call yesterday, and I dropped my Pro1x; the display broke. I ordered an Elephone U Pro display, but I don't have a Pro1, nor do I have any idea how to do the flashing. I’d like to send the display to you once it arrives—provided you’re still doing this—so you can reprogram it for a Pro1x. I’m based in Germany (EU). Great to hear you found the cause and a way to get the data out. We have in other threads looked for the battery, but AFAIK no perfect match have been found, sadly.

No - the same plug, the same voltage, similar capacity, but no way to fit it into Pro1 case

Does the battery Xiaomi Mi6 BM39 fit 1:1 ?

Update: Battery was the culprit. I have replaced the battery with Xiaomi Mi6 BM39 and my Pro1 has successfully booted to Lineage 🙂 Now I can at least transfer all my data...

It is not just the screen - the phone is not detected when connected to computer When I connect 5v to the VBUS line it draws 0.5A for 1-2s, my impression is that it does not go through any initial first step when powered on

That could create a problem if off mode charging wasn't enabled using fastboot commands, except you said you charged the battery and it still won't boot. Now I did have a problem with my old Pro1 in 2021 where the screen simply wouldn't com on at all. I tried replacing the screen, but that didn't work. Luckily it was still 3 weeks before it went out of warranty and I was able to send it to Fxtec and they fixed it. Never told me what they did beyond replacing the screen, but I had the impression they had to do something else. Not that any of this is of much help to you. Sorry.

Too bad. Any special circumstances? Could it be water/moisture that got in and messed something? It sounds like a hardware failure of some kind to me. (Let us try to ping @CornholioGSM that got experience fixing PRO1/PRO1X)
