  1. There's a bunch of sellers that have them on AliExpress. They will sometimes sell out and you'll have to go looking for another. This one works for now: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32956500815.html

  3. Hi, I have installed LOS 18.1 a few months ago. It's running great, along with my Fossil Sport Smartwatch. However, when setup my watch it wasn't able to get GPS location, I know that it will use the phone's GPS first, but this was a minor inconvenience... This week, I was trying other apps that uses GPS and they can't get a location either, the only app that was able to get my position was Waze. While all the other apps cannot get it, including GMaps. Already tried to change permissions and allowed it to use location when I started the app, no change. Anyone had this

  4. I see a lot of damaged devices at work and I've never come across a digitiser fault without the display or glass substrate being damaged. But as they say, there's a first time for everything. I'd be interested in knowing the frequency of this type of damage in phones with curved screens vs flat screens vs the Pro1.

  5. Guess I was lucky and got mine in before the investigation was complete. They did have me take a lot of pics of my Pro 1 to rule out damage before I sent it in. I don't think it was unusual impact and thus suspect @VaZsois correct that there are a number of possible internal causes. So it's basically a digitizer problem (well, what else would it be). Reminds me a lot of the problems the old Palm TX had, which Palm never took much responsibility for. The digitizers were plastic and developed a severe difgitizer drift-- the screen activating a point away from where the stylus was pr

  6. Thanks @Hook and @vvv So I contacted support, who are saying that they've investigated this type of failure and they've determined it's caused by some sort of impact that has damaged the touch layer, but not the OLED layer. As such, it's not covered under warranty...I'm not going to argue the point because I can't prove what caused the malfunction either way. Annoying, but that's life I guess. I've migrated to using my spare phone because the random touch inputs are making my Pro1 unusable. ☹️ In any case, I've ordered 2 replacement displays from aliexpress, which are cheaper t

  7. I tried this just out of curiosity. Removed the camera slice and tried poking the 12MP camera lens around, but unlike raymo, I didn't recognize any effect on camera autofocus or pic quality. Or, to be honest, the picture quality got a little bit better as soon as I removed the [old and scratched] camera slice, but turned back ugly when I installed it back. However, the camera's ability to autofocus didn't change.

  8. Yep yep yep... Almost a year of waiting, and I haven't got my spare display yet... The ghost touches issue kinda fluctuates on my device. For some reason, once for a while the issue gets stronger and renders the device almost unusable for a day or so. Then it goes away for some time again. The unresponsive line on lower screen stays all the time, but the amount of ghost touches fluctuates. I have been thinking if I should order a new display from aliexpress, but it seems to be so many issues on my device that I don't know if it's reasonable to pay for a fix for this issue. I have had the

  9. I also have been experiencing this for a while now. I'm on some version of AICP Q, haven't wiped, updated or done any changes to the system since I flashed AICP like Christmas or so. Before flashing AICP, I had random keys appearing quite frequently, but this bug almost completely disappeared when I flashed AICP. This NEW issue, with sometimes no character input on keypress, and sometimes double or triple character input on single keypress, is something else. My guess is that the device - or at least the keyboard part of it - is just getting old. Something in the keyboard has worn out, and thi
