  1. To all who still struggle with this issue. People in the fxtec unofficial discord have discovered that flashing ONLY the vendor.img from the stock restore thread will fix the aliex screen issues and won't bork your LOS18.1 installation. For stock and earlier versions of LOS the apk still does the fix. We only have one person done it for now so not 100% guarantee though. Edit: According to feedback from other users this method didn't work. Stock restore thread

  2. Backers of the engraved edition received an email to send their logo's in before the 12th of February. That could mean I would receive my Pro1X before my original Pro1 is repaired and returned to me 🥲 (September '21).

  3. I strongly recommend against purchasing a cosmo communicator. Had both devices for a while. I gave away the pro1 but still have the cosmo. The cosmo hardware is held back insanely by the amoled cover screen. You can turn it off but there will still be bugs and power drain. The keyboard is honestly quite good. Software wise the cosmo is also a dead-end. Support is just as awful as fxtec stock except lineage doesn't work even remotely as good as on the pro1. Ubuntu is not good at all on the cosmo and it's a libhybris "port" anyway which is even worse on mediatek chips. If you want

  4. I do not know if native android 9 supports touch on external monitor. It might be a Samsung DeX feature? Or as you suggest Android 12. Maybe LineageOS or AICP? At the least they are offered based on newer android than 9/pie. ADD It seems to have been in Android for a decade, BUT needed/needs a proper driver....
