So it looks like with all the screen refitting, the flex cable on mine gave in and no longer connects the display. Anyone tried ordering the flex cable between the two halves?

Second shipment went out at night and were eaten by a grue.

Hello. It's like threads gravedigging, but just a week ago I finally brought my pro1 to life by replacing a broken display with Ulephone U one bought on ali (and it didn't require any "firmware update for the touch function to work correctly"). But the point is that just a few moments ago I think I managed to solve problems with too loud handset sound volume and distortion. I replaced "/system/vendor/etc/mixer_paths_tavil.xml" with a file from latest Google Pixel 2 LineageOS (it shares the same MSM8998 CPU). I didn't have much time to test it thoroughly, but sound seems to be much better.

I payed at the end of May 2020. If you are right, I can hope. Hopefully we are not getting an update like "fire destroyed first batch" or "bandits robbed first batch" next week.

I managed to get lineage OS on it and to root it. Restoring many different stock boot images didn't work. Now I just have a backup of the internal memory on an SD card. I have no idea how to recover that at this point. One option will be to mount it as a disk image in Virtual Box or mess around with the Android emulator. I could always put it back into the phone but need a bigger SD card to store it uncompressed so to mount, etc. What I don't understand is why android loses all the data just flashing the boot partition. I've worked with Linux including building my own minimal distribution
