  1. And if you look at the size of the grid the keys are in (that is including the space between the keys) it is roughly 6x9.6mm They Slim's keys are neck to neck sidewise. They are 6x6.2mm in a 7x6.2mm grid, so slightly higher grid, though the width is 35-36% less on the Slim. The typing experience is quite different though. On one Hand you can write a-z and space text with one hand on the Slim, with no punctuation or national letters or other symbols. The Pro1/Pro1X gives a much more 'normal' typing experience, BUT is really awkward to type on with one hand only, while keeping some sort of

  4. It's specific to the yubikey which is a crypto token, not just a basic nfc tag. I have thousands of nfc tags and can get them all to scan reliably but not any of my 3 yubikeys. Yubikeys are used as 2fa tokens so if you have it set up and the phone doesn't handle it, it makes it very hard to use the phone.

  5. @EskeRahn @eorg The recovery is the dead droid. To activate its menu, press the power button and the volume up button. Still, the limitation is that ADB is not fully available in recovery. We can only sideload patches. In the beta group its used to manual sideload local updates from "OTA" packages that are contained in the releases. We even got an alternate fastbootd that can write logical partitions. You can reach that by either `fastboot reboot fastboot` or from the recovery menu item fastboot. @eorg Don't let yourself confuse too much from the evolving threads here. Most things have be

  6. Not highly precise measurement but a usual key of Pro1(X) is around 5x8mm as per my measurement. Top row is about 4mm in height. ...but I suggest you to try a similar keyboard in real life instead, as keys are much smaller than your thumb but still you can feel them accurately. Also, Nokia N900 had similar keys (a bit smaller size) which was still a good keyboard. So it is not easy to decide if it is too small prior of trying. Also, a bigger problem may be the phone (thus, keyboard) width [landscape] which may lead to some inconvenience if you have small hands (smaller than

  8. This is intended as a central entry point with links to known ROMs for the PRO1/PRO1X. You will need android adb / fastboot tools that officially can be found here (Windows / Linux / mAc) Important step BEFORE changing from Android initially!! If you want to ever be able to change the phone back to the state it had when you received it with stock Android, there is an important step that is needed before flashing any non android-based ROM, That is to backup the persist partition. If the device is unlocked and a recovery boot is present a fairly simple partition backup method (fo
