Thank you @david for this insightful post! I'm sure this is going to help a lot of people who have similiar battery issues on the Pro1. Unfortunately, we do not plan to make any additional boards for Pro1 and Pro1-X. Though, we do have Pro1-X antenna boards in stock for repair and replacement. The batteries on the Pro1-X have different connectors and protection boards compared to the Pro1.

June 5 POTENTIALLY corrects camera issue but only been a few minutes, will give some time to confirm as it was not uncommon for it to function intermittently. Edit: false alarm, still won't save the image at times.

Just an update to maybe help anyone having the same problem: I had forgotten to delete my old "hidden" Magisk installation and this confusing/preventing Magisk 26.x from realising it was installed in recovery. As soon as I uninstalled the hidden Magisk application, running the latest installed Magisk prompted me to complete the installation finally!

I got my numbers mixed up. It is physically smaller in the long direction, but bigger in the width direction. I don't think it will fit in the Pro1 enclosure. It might still be usable to power a Pro1 if the original battery dies, but it wouldn't work with the phone all put together. We'd need a battery that is long and skinny, like the Pro1 battery, and then convert the cable to the right connector. This explains how they were able to cram so much power into such a small battery. They weren't! 🤣

Basically what should be done with the device itself is simple and written in touch controller's datasheet. However, the actual internal working of Android affects the way of how to do it and if it is possible or in what circumstances - and that is where deep knowledge of Android programming may highly affect the possibility of success...

Looks like I keep losing Magisk/root every time I update Lineage using their automated updater, but once I figure out how to do it smoothly I'll try it thanks.
