I was saying that even after you remove the screws, the screen will still cling to the base plate. Detaching it requires some prying tool to insert between the screen frame and the base plate.

In a person's thinking, the answer addresses concern about compatibility. They seek reassurance that the phone will function normally after the screen replacement without needing a. reset.

@jjvdgeer In addition to what @EskeRahn said, even if FinQuerty's selection of layouts doesn't include one that's good enough for you, for someone who knows how to use Android Studio it is fairly easy to clone FinQuerty and modify the layout that's already closest to what they want, to make it near-perfect. (I did that to fix the US Intl layout for the Pro1X.) Also, if you use FinQwerty, I think you'll need to take care to not use a Pro1 layout on the Pro1X or vice versa, they're not fully compatible. @zikad Well it will keep working BUT there is an issue with the outer edges being non responsive to touch with the screens we can find on AliExpress. The only KNOWN method we got to fix this touch issue Is to mount on a Pro1 (not Pro1X) and re-flash that....

Just to add that this is something of a good sign, as this is how it behaves if I do it on a working Pro1X. But as it does not display a splash screen also in the loop, I agree with others that it is most likely a display issue.

While buying a miniature Phillips screw driver, make sure to also get some prying tool. Besides the screws, the display frame "clicks" onto the supporting base plate. Especially if it has never been removed before, fingernails are not enough to get it loose. You wont have to mess with the hinge mechanism by the way. However, be careful with the ribbon cable connecting the two halves of the phone: it is just long enough to allow you to reach the connector head. Once the display frame is unmounted (which is quite easy) you can check and re-seat the ribbon cables coming from the bottom ha
