Hey there...do I need to get ahold of one of these fancy re-senders? It seemed like I could just order it directly from their site and have it shipped to my home (USA-based) but if that is not the case I want to correct that ASAP.

I ordered from Clove. Once I have a tracking number that says more than 'processing your order' I will be cancelling my pre-order. Anyone know if the UK version (QWERTY) needs any special care and attention like a cup of tea in the afternoons or something? I figure that besides a wonky plug-in compared to USA NEMA5 plugs, it is the same phone as all other QWERTY right? I don't care that I'm losing headphones and a phone sheath. I'm paying $100 more for the confidence that this phone will actually arrive.

Looking at the product page it looks like the availability starts on Dec 24. Also, note the stock count: and then there were 14....

Question - have any US-based customers received their pre-order post "customs made us give up and ship directly"? If so, did you have to pay any extra customs costs? The US has stopped some tariffs intended to take effect on China (does HK being a SAR put them out of scope for those tariffs in this case?), trying to see if that helps us not have to cough up an additional $xxx fee.

This company is doing the equivalent of a starvation diet in order to get these pre orders produced, but if they can't get to general availability soon, it may strangle their ability to make money as more and more people wait for the original orderers to give feedback. I personally would gladly have taken a real keyboard phone with a ridiculously minor issue in terms of the backlight bleed versus the increasingly vaporware phone that they keep snatching away at the last second. Fxtec is starting to make me feel like a sucker...fool me once and all that.

I don't know how much my sense of this is true, but I feel like they are almost sending them out randomly rather than any rhyme or reason. I'm sure that that's not really the case, but I figure sharing my feelings may give rise to more information from FXtec folks.

Fxtec - you all have been quite open, and for that I'm pretty grateful as a recovering long-time lurker. I trust Waxberry at this point to deliver a functioning non-spying device, possibly with future adups removed now that Google Certification means it is no longer needed. I say that not by blind faith, but because I know from a pragmatic standpoint, Fxtec is not going to let anything run in the software that would hamper sales. That said, is AdUps prevented from spying by contractual obligations, or by technological means? I will be installing LOS regardless, and was planning on it

While kashif's message may be over the top, and I'm glad that the devices are not outright fraud, the delays do have a habit of piling up frustrations in excited users. Last few times we were in this spot, we had weeks of radio silence from Fxtec. At least this time waxberry and such have given Erik something to calm us ravening hoardes :jkbutjustbarelycausewewantitnow:

In that case - huzzah! Pre-orders to the USA can be shipped, and not just to file 13! 😛 I feel so much better now, thanks.

Did...did I just hear right? A US retail order has shipped and arrived before "pre"-orders? It's probably just me and my first world problems here, but to be frank, I kinda feel like a sucker who got skipped in line 😞

Apps that runs well with the unique design of Fxtec Pro1

Some of us consider a HW keyboard that doesn't auto-correct you a feature rather than a bug :P. I would go ahead and add for those of you who game on older consoles MyBoy (Google Play) A Gameboy Advance emulator for all of those gameboy-compatible games you totally made yourself, works very well with a landscape screen and hardware keys. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.fastemulator.gba&hl=en_US -
Best guess without more specific order information and based on lurking on these 50 pages since topic creation, 75% chance to get yours before Christmas, 25% chance in 2020. I had a dying device early in the year, thought I could nurse it along until June...had to order a Galaxy Note because the wait was just too long. Haven't cancelled my order in hopes that the date doesn't slip again and I have a lot of interest at my work for a new keyboarded phone (they were asking me about the Priv when one of them had a HTC Desire Z that just died, I recommended they check out the Pro1 to gr

Every question mark beyond 3 delays yours by another day 😅
