TIMING

Hello everybody! As I can spectate longer and longer time between single coments last days.. It came on my mind, if this is like a silence before a thunderstorm, ha? :)) I would like to ask the development team, whether they would provide us some more actualised rush timing. Its been some time since we got any informations about this topic. Now we know some production should already go on. I suppose most of effort goes now into the software side of the project, but can anybody tell us more? I know how difficult is replying untill huge pressure of time, but on the other hand, who else should obtain some news than participants of this forum, who are also the greatest fans of the project? :) Thank you in advance.

So it sounds like something is about to happen. However, there appears on that post with no further context: "Expires JUL 14, 2019" That's not "this week-end" so what expires on Jul 14th? ;-)

I believe the facebook post is what expires (since it's a "special" one with a shop now button), but it indeed sounds as if they have scheduled showing us something :).

I will be super glad if it comes out mid July, but I doubt it. From what Liangchen Chen said at the London event, I would expect late July.

Ah well yes, that could be it. That would sound reasonable in line with 'late July'.

Likely less than two months from now sounds pretty good to me though, I've been waiting for years :).

It does seem like they will be keeping to the time line. But TBH even if they did need to delay I would be fine with it (well as long as it's not years lol)

Well as I said: A week ago, they said that they still expected to start shipping in July.

 

But that is not a guarantee. Some yet unknown nasty 'show stopper' could still pop up. It COULD be so big that they had to postpone. Even if the hardware is 100% locked and finished, there still could be software bugs so severe that they needed to postpone. Or delays in some required certifications - just throwing wild paranoiac guesses. I'm quite sure if they had a certain release date, they would tell.

Haha, I guess our phones sniffs they are going to be changed, cause mine starts to always suffer for not enough space on C:\ (even though there still is space..) :))

Yeah, my Nexus 6p battery is almost useless, barely holds a charge. luckily it has life support, a zerolemon battery case that manages to keep it going. It's really too bad, because in many respects the phone still works fine. If only it weren't so damnably hard to open.

A significant delay would force me to consider one of two plan Bs. Either ask a shop to attempt the battery replacement or get a mid-range moto phone in the meantime that will become a backup phone. Either one essentially drives up the price of the Pro1, so I'm really hoping for not having a long delay. ;-)

 

But I understand that anything can still happen. As I said before, I want them to get it right, whatever it takes.

Yeah, I see the July date as "if nothing goes wrong". And well we all know that things do go wrong... *LOL*

Hope your phone can hold up. Put it in aeroplane mode at night, to prolong, keep it on your desk not in your pocket while working, ensure it is placed were the signal is optimal... :) If you not already do, then slim down what is running/enabled, I got a lot of blah blah on the subject on my small blog.

Haha. That's the beauty of the Zerolemon case-- no duct tape involved and I don't mind thick phones. 8500 mAh. As long as the 6ps inner battery doesn't get over-cooked and decide to balloon, I should make it. ;-)
