EskeRahn 5,471
I fear you are right! It can be found using US-International on the open source FinQwerty https://android.onse.fi/finqwerty/#pro1
Hidden30 3
Thanks for your help, how ever I'm a bit surprised that I need to install an app to reach such a basic feature as the £ sign!! Will there be an update out soon to fix this perhaps utilising the redundant SYM key?

That app adds the possibility to include layouts other than those which exist in stock system. So, basically you can use a better layout for yourself if you are not convenient with those built into the system. In other words, not the app which actively does this feature but it gives the possibility to add it to let the system do it. 🙂 Edited January 21, 2020 by VaZso
Craig 1,435
I don't think FinQWERTY is really an application. It seems to just add a bunch of keyboard layouts. Apparently even tho F(x)tec is British company, they used American keys. And easiest solution for now is use US International layout. Dunno if they plan to do anything about £ in stock, but rumour has it no more software updates til after Chinese New Year. Edited January 21, 2020 by Craig 1

I have suggested @Anssi Hannula to add it to the FinQwerty. Let us hope he will do that at some point. It is a free open source app, But the homepage has a Donate button, so i people tries that, it might help entice him to add it,... 😇 And on the App thing @Craig and @VaZso debated it technically is an app that exposes at set of .kcm files to the system, as we can not just copy those in on a non-rooted device, so it is not an active app as such like e.g. GBoard, it's a loader. EskeRahn 5,471
The next newest FinQwerty version is planned to bring brought the Pound sign for the remaining layouts too (not on 4 but 3, as would be expected on most layouts).
