  1. Google Maps does fine with my location, but I had to agree to allow it to use location services or whatever they call it. It was a pop-up that showed up when I hit the locate icon. I'm using Open Gapps, but I wouldn't expect that to make a difference.

  2. @Rob. S.: Thanks for this thread. Your summary worked perfectly for me, I'm currently just battling with getting SafetyNet ctsProfile to pass. I too replaced my screen but somewhat botched the job, so another screen is on the way from China. Is there any possibility that someone could extract the "capacitive sensor firmware upgrade" part from the stock ROM so that when my new screen arrives I don't have to factory reset and reinstall the stock ROM all over again? Or tell me how to do it and I'd go about extracting the thing myself. I believe others wouls also benefit from this.

  3. I can confirm that in the SIM 1 there is no option for 4G calls ON/OFF, but there is option in SIM 2 (that I use without data and with GSM mode only, but it doesn't change if I thange those settings). I also did not try to switch off VoLTE in 4636 menu, but I tried last month to switch the SIM positioning and the problem persisted. Anyway, it is definitely a bug since it was not there in LOS17.1...

  4. My LOS 16.0 build 20211111 is available for download. It contains the "5th November" AOSP security fixes. Meanwhile, my version has diverged somewhat from the official code. As of today, my tree contains the following local patches: Modified gps.conf which enables the Pro1 to get its initial fix much faster (for me at least). Corrected QoS powerhint signals (backported from Lineage 18.1). Keyboard driver: Enable high keycodes (backported from Lineage 18.1). Keyboard driver: Enable Fn-Tab to (really) act like Alt-Tab. Cherry-picked from an experimental patch propose

  5. Hmm, same for me... anyway, if you have two SIMs installed, you have two separate places for these SIMs. Also, only one SIM has LTE availability and there is no such settings for the other - that may be the reason it does not find it. However, in Setings, under Network / Internet, there is a Mobile networks menu item and here are the two SIMs (sorry for incorrect naming). One of them may have VoLTE activation checkbox. Additionally, now I have VoLTE enabled for my company SIM, so I may have to check if it is working... I don't know when it was activated but I have used the other

  6. A few months back me phone just went pitch black in my hand. Nothing triggered any reaction. No button and also no charger. So I contacted support for help. It took a while until they answered me. But they offered me help to repair it myself. Not really keen to try any parcel service during brexit with a phone still holding a decent amount of personal data, I gladly took that offer. They hinted me at the battery and the USB-Board. My skills in electronics and manual labor are... well let's say I am a programmer 😉 But the phone is really really easy to disassemble, I was able to do it w
