  1. As you have guessed, I find this hard to believe, indeed. @tdm once argued that the green tint problem was likely related to lack of stringent screen calibration, something supposed to be near-unaffordable for small-series manufacturers, so that it is essentially a matter of luck, whether you get a green-tint screen or now ... Are you able to point out the LineageOS patch that you think did this magic for you? If it exists, I would love to backport that fix to my LOS 16.0. However, I'm not able to find anything that seems related, neither in the pro1-specific LOS 17.1, nor the LOS 18

  2. Yes they charged 120€ - 99 + shipping. When it comes time for me to deploy the new battery, if it is a fail I will send it to you if they aren't willing to refund me.

  3. Hey there, so they actually charged you guys 120€? If so, I'd be interested in your old/broken battery. In the case one of you changes their old battery as it lost too much capacity, I'd be happy if you PM me. I'd like to disassemble it, learn about the charging/monitoring circuit and try to change the battery cells to a pack that would fit into the Pro1. Maybe we get a cheap fix that way. So if your battery is trash, please send it to me instead (I'll pay for shipping of course). Time doesn't matter. My own battery isn't unusable yet so if you change it in a few months, please

  4. With this tool, it is possible to disable the fingerprint reader for unlocking the phone. https://f-droid.org/de/packages/com.davidshewitt.admincontrol/ But that probably won't help your case. Maybe you can remap the "fingerprint" button e.g. using https://f-droid.org/de/packages/io.github.sds100.keymapper/?

  5. The easy fix is, of course, a tiny piece of black electrician tape cut to the size of the finger print sensor. Actually, the black stickers that cover the screws on the back of the screen (on the Pro1x they are invisible, unlike the Pro) are exactly the right width and can be chained across to cover the length of the fingerprint sensor. I have sheets of those black screw covers, if you want to DM me your address. I think Fxtec has enough on their plate, I doubt the feature request would get a lot of attention right now. I have only heard of this consequence of the sensor being activ

  6. The thread you are looking for is here: https://community.fxtec.com/topic/3204-display-units-with-large-tap-insensitive-margin/page/9/ However, I do not think we had a case of Pro1-X with this problem yet. For the Pro1, the usual fix was to flash back to the initial stock (Android 9) OS. Not sure it works similarly for the Pro1-X ...

  7. I'm a big fan of LineageOS. But for completeness, let's mention that there seem to be some apps that refuse to install and/or run on LineageOS, because they identify the system as "unsafe" (unlocked bootloader and all that ...). Yes, it is nonsensical to consider stock Android 9 -- with by now hundreds of unpatched security holes -- as "safe", but, apparently, that's what they do ...

  8. Yes, you are right-- that hasn't been addressed, for now just use the Pro 1 Thoughts and Questions for the Pro1x as well. I'll look into it (I don't think even moderator powers can change those) Also, if you have a Pro1 or Pro1x, it's helpful to use the instructions in the thread I'm linking to indicate what you have so people know when answering your questions. https://community.fxtec.com/topic/3745-please-enter-your-fxtec-device-information-in-your-member-title-slot-under-edit-profile/
