  1. so, managed to bring new life in my beloved device. 1. disassemled the unit to accss and manually charged the battery, this stopped the strange boot loop. (phone still only goes to fastboot) 2. instead of using my pretty new computer running win10 I connected it to my 13 year old laptop running Debian made it able to communicate in fastboot. 3. flashed original ROM via fastboot (phone still only goes to fastboot) 4. (almost a bit embarresed to say but...) manually change active slot via fastboot. Now it boots 😁 5. flash Lineage again and change active

  3. Thanks very much for the offer. I managed to get the Pro 1 to charge a bit by holding the power cable at a particular angle, for long enough that I could get my data off it, so I'm OK now.

  6. regarding chargeing the battery, I did it by soldering wires directly to the connection tabs on the battery cell. the hooked it up to a lab PSU, 500mA @4.2 V do requires soldering skills and and good knowledge on how to treat Lithium cells though.

  7. I'm not sure about that. In my view it's related to the usage. I'm a very heavy user and I have my phone in my pockets all the time. This includes pushing and squeezing by the pockets themselves or from the outside (i.e. when lifting heavy stuff and the phone is in between). The only thing I'm not doing is to 'clack' my phone. I've had this issue with three phones now, with the replaced displays failing faster. Probably because a factory mount leaves less room for movement. The first one (used) lasted over a year without issues. If other people have their phone mostly on the table or even

  8. This might also explain why some sees it and some does not. If there is a slight variation in the length or mount of the black cable between various batches this could mean that the shorter ones go under the plastic just fine, but the longer ones have a slight curve that are pushed on unevenly. A fraction of a millimetre could be enough...
