You are teasing me with that Keyboard Layout chooser! :D When will you add QWERTZ to it so I can pre-order without any "yes, but actually please make it QWERTZ" complications? Or should I just go ahead and change the order to QWERTZ in the process? Saw the Düsseldorf video btw, device looks great!

I second the notion that umlauts behind modifiers are not a good idea. Not only because of (rare) capitalized umlauts requiring a triple-press but because it makes each and every (common) regular umlaut a nuisance. A possible workaround could be to substitute the function-key with a long-press, so long-press "a" for "ä" etc. like we see on virtual keyboards. That would be a slightly less fluent than dedicated keys but requires no additional acrobatics. I also second the idea of making QWERTZ available for pre-order ;) Thank you very much for keeping us updated :) I have a few QWERTZ

8 E7-00 devices is a very impressive collection in my book! :) I dearly miss that phone.

That's a neat E7 case, MichalTUR, never saw that before. I had my E7 in a simple custom-cut leather-sleeve by fitBAG. I do use a foldable book-case style with my current phone and the main advantages to me are slip-protection and an easy way to prop it up at an angle. The Pro would not need the latter :D I guess a book-case for the Pro would make more sense with the fold on the right hand side of the screen. That way, you could snap the screen open and it would flip back the cover more or less automatically.
