Well, I'm happy I ordered a Pro1X. I think the color is growing on me and I will now have one for a daily driver and one for OS related experiments that I'm too timid to try on my daily driver. 😉 Also, never hurts to have a backup. It was agony while I was waiting for repairs.
Of course (assuming I do get it), the price paid was much more reasonable than that ebay one (and more memory).
Yeah thats a good point it's the 6GB / 126GB not the 8Gb / 256GB. As it was out of the first batch of 10

Yeah, I saw that yesterday. On top of the high price, actually I didn't buy it from the campaign on indiegogo solely because I really don't like the blue color.
At the moment I'm chasing around a good old pro1 in black color.Yeah why I also didn't get one wasn't keen on the colour (glad I didn't as already have the old one and its got better hardware lol)

I am noticing an issue with fingerprints:
If I remember correctly, there's the one thing that the system stops accepting fingerprints for some time after too many unrecognized attempts, which can easily and unwillingly happen with our device because of the scanner's position.
Whenever this happens, my banking app reports changes in my fingerprint configuration and stops allowing me to authenticate via fingerprint, until I authenticate via PIN and re-enable fingerprints in the app's settings.
....
Yes a few of us are having this issue.

I have used these https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07RWGCG9S/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1
Am sure something cheaper can be found though I only paid £5.99 originally about a year ago.
But no glass ones available 😞
But surely there will be around 2000 phones in the wild so maybe a custom one might be made if a supplier was contacted. (not interested in doing that my self though)

That way, I might even be able to make that stupid 'Entrust' Security Token app for my employer's VPN work...
I've decided to my old KeyOne as a dedicated security token device only ever need it at my desk 😄

They have a spare battery option on there.
Not sure if anyone identified the replacement one to get from somewhere else yet.

Sorry, the Lineage admins don't allow exFat unless the device shipped with it.
I presume you could add it your self though?

I do quite like the phones these make been tempted by one of the jelly/atom my self just as something to use when I go out and don't want a big phone with me.

Yeah, no way to OEM unlock these phones. IIRC there was temp root at one point, but it got patched out pretty quickly. Haven't looked into development for these phones in a long time.
Well they are more business oriented phones so to be expected. I was having a look at them the other day tempted to have one just for the thermal camera but I don't really have a use for it though 😅

I'd like that as an 8" tablet!
There are some been developed as I recollect book more designed as kindle like devices.

Since we all obviously don't follow the norm here for phones though I'd start a thread with some other devices out there which you don't normally see.

Yeah what 3zet said might be best that way it would be a clean install.
I'm trying to remember how I installed the drivers last time but I am pretty sure I just used https://developer.android.com/studio/run/win-usb

Usually things to try are
* Use different ports
* Reinstall the ADB driver and ensure its googles (microsoft one doesn't work properly)
* Use a different cable (I always use my nintendo switch controller cable)
But I guess you probably have done this why asking. TBH I've never tried doing it from SD card so can't advise on that 😞

Yeah we discussed on forum as well 😄
We actually found this
https://phys.org/news/2009-05-samsung-incorporates-e-ink-panel-technology.html
Think @EskeRahnmanaged to buy one as well lol

JuiceSSH seems nice, but unfortunately it is not FOSS, so I do not want to use it. I am a little picky about that. Thanks anyway!
Ah sorry missed the FOSS bit in your OM 🙂

Forgot to say it also allows home screen shortcuts

JuiceSSH allows you to do this if you goto exit the terminal is asks if you want to run in background say yes then you can spawn another session to another server or the same one.
It then lists them in the notifications pane and you can switch between them.

Hello. Is there any chance to get a refund? I've contacted the Fxtec team via IGG on February 11 but still got no response.
As I said in that message, I'm using a BB Priv and its storage pisses me off more and more when it comes to modern™ apps that intensively use the storage, the phone just overheats and throttles. Pro1 (X) was my hope and I've backed it but then they suddenly say "oh no we're out of CPUs so suffer with your current phone a bit more".
I'm aware that Fxtec could be in a trouble but I still want the money back to buy something else as a replacement for my current BB Priv.
This is a user to user forum. You need to contact the via igg or the support channels.

@VaZso yeah braveheart was definitely prototype build 😄 and I agree its not comparable why I mention the moto mod that didn't surface, as that would have been more comparable with a keyboard attachment.

Uh "(170mm x 90mm x 23 mm)." that's quite a handful... But still interesting though.
Yeah 😄 its not as bad as the moto mod though is it?

@claude0001does that close fine? I mean a lot of the others need the credit card part removing from the case otherwise it doesn't close properly.
