what are you talking about? There have been QWERTZ devices already delivered even so that weren't many, but there also weren't many QWERTY devices before. It seems that also there a lot of QWERTZ (and also QWERTY) IGG backers left, so probably it wouldn't have made any difference what you ordered. But it seems that the next QWERTZ shipment could be big enough that also non IGG backers could be satisfied (at least it sounds like that in the recent "news")

it doesn't really matter if anyone get it until Christmas, as long as people see constant output of devices, everyone will calm down, because then it's quite sure just a matter of some weeks until everyone got it.

I'm in the same boat, QWERTZ with IGG, so I assume (or at least hope so) that there can't be any or extremely low amount of QWERTZ IGG in this batch. Even though it's a special configuration with a much lower amount than QWERTY and perhaps got affected by the rebuild heavily, it doesn't feel nice to be even behind normal preorders.

Ehm, where did you read "so we have reproduced this batch from scratch"? This was not part of the sent out update, only the took care of the problem with some additional steps. Also IGG with QWERTZ here and no assignment. Of course time of assignments (even in the same batch) could differ according to layout and place of living.

ok, that's also true. My hopes are actually that a community will built up around the device in the likes of N900 and Droid Series keeping kind of a LTS

Even so you are partly right, you also have into account that more devices out there could also mean more people working on the ports 😉

it could also just be a PR move. If this one goes for a very high price the product could get more attention from more people who haven't noticed it before

like Hook already stated, there just weren't enough devices in the first batch to satisfy all IGG Pre orders. In my region have been people on the first batch, but me neither as a IGG backer, so it's not just regional 😉 Let's just be optimistic for the second batch in November. Here are already wild speculations ongoing again

Don't get me wrong, the communication could have been better (like your example with "valid until") to clarify the things, but I don't see possible legal actions there. Of course you can force to get your money back and then you should also get it, but you have no right to get the product. Your example with the sausages sounds a bit silly, because no private person orders online sausages for reselling. Just remember we are talking about private orders not any company stuff. Did you never got a cancelled online order? like said in my brackets, the layout is a diffierent topic and

assuming of your nick, you are german and don't know what you are talking about. In Germany it's the same like someone said before, the contract is just accepted when the item got shipped out, before you just made an "offer" for buying the product. And for the people complaining about the raised price. Sorry but isn't that your fault you wanted to wait? (excluding the pre orders, because it's a bit of a different story like EskeRahn's case with the other layout) Every manufacturer/retailer has the right to adjust the price of his product as he wants it to be.

Ok, I have to appologize, after one more talk with my bank, I was able to pay. The problem was, that not the entire credit card gets blocked, it's only for this one payment. They told me normally the seller contacts credit card institute in this case to ask for the problems etc., but I get it that this is not possible in this case because of the amount and the kind of small team and they even said normally none online seller contacts them.

no, I didn't try another account. The problem could already be related to the fact, that the order isn't connected to my account and another account would perhaps make it even further confusing.

Actually I feel a bit abandoned by Fxtex. No one replies to mails over the contact option, neither does one in here. It kind of matters that you pay the phone as soon as possible, but if something in their system doesn't work, nobody reacts. I understand that right now there is probably a lot of work, but no response even after a week seems a bit odd to me.

Nice, was already hoping for Sailfish as of Liang Chen is also a big fan of it :). Of course it would also be nice opting in for a purchased version to get Android support like at the Xperia X Series

Probably I would opt for version 2 or stick to QWERTY. You always have to remember you won't type with 10-fingers on a smartphone keyboard, so the Ux should be better to make some changes to ISO layout. As waxberry mentioned, if you have to stretch the thumb to get to "J" or "U" for example it would also be a pain in the ass for typing.
