Yeap, i did. Perhaps i should not update, maybe it might work for me?

I had only one update that I installed after booting the phone for the first time and it was an update that disabled double-tap. Second video I did was after an update that "fixed" something with SafetyNet.

Now I'm updating phone to the newest version.

    EDIT: Updated, nothing changed.

@Gon009 This.  If you set your display size and text size small, you'll at least get more than what you see now.   You can also go a step farther in developer settings and play with dpi, but doesn't work well with stock launcher.

I can confirm that this works. There's "interface size" or whatever it's called in English and I set it to small one, now the drop-down menu looks like it should, thanks!

To others: also, as you see, it's not about notification but about these quick-access icons.

Did you try turning the phone so that the bottom (when vertical) is lower than the top?  That is how it works when I have auto rotate on in the phones I've uses.  It actually seems odd to me that the launcher is showing up in portrait mode when you close firefox.

Although, if the phone is lying flat, then maybe the accelerometer has to guess.  Or an app/system might remeber the last orientation, since the accelerometer isn't sensing a change.  If you close the keyboard, with firefox open, and change the orientation to portrait (not lying flat on the table), does it rotate?  If not, just as a wild thing to try, launch the app with the icon rather than the keyboard shortcut.

    1 hour ago, Craig said:

Did you have auto-rotate turned on during that video?  If yes, that could explain this.  (I'm not referring to the slider setting to lock landscape, I'm talking about the regular auto-rotate in quick settings.)

No, I don't have regular auto-rotate on. I'm working with keyboard lock on and auto-rotate off. Also, to what david said, when I hold the phone so bottom is lower than the top, the small icon appears at the bottom right that I can press to switch it to portrait.

There's another video showing my settings and firefox app again. I also got a bug that kept my phone in landscape even in Home with keyboard closed but it's probably because of manually rotating the screen: https://youtu.be/pWbZXP29uAI

I replicated the auto rotate bug in Gon009 video.

    I tried it with chrome
    -Auto rotate off

    -Landscape lock on

But when i use google maps, outlook, it work as intended, reverting to portrait once the keyboard is closed.

For me it also works for some apps and doesn't work for others. At the beginning everything worked flawlessly, then everything but Home broke and now some apps work and some not, I had no problems with FireFox before.

  3. Anyway, here's a video showing the first bug with autorotate on keyboard not working at all, it's firefox and it should return to portrait after closing the keyboard but it's not: https://youtu.be/KuoZbO7JkaM

An update to this bug: I tried to replicate it now and this function started working in some apps like k9 mail or clock, also it works in app menu but in firefox it's still not working. Also you can see screen properly returning to portrait after pressing home button.

  4. 7 minutes ago, Hook said:

On #1, to clarify, is this all apps or just some?  Clearly it still works with the launcher.  Which apps.  Most apps I use it works fine, but some, like Discord, require Autorotate to be on. That's not a bug in the Pro 1 but a problem with the apps programming.

#2 confuses me.  Yes, if the notification shade is longer than the screen, you will have to scroll.  Why is that a bug?

#3 I believe that's another autorotate button popping up.  Not sure that isn't also Pie rather than F(x) Tec.

#4 That is the way the new fangled home button in Pie is supposed to work.  You can get the older 3 buttons by going to settings -> system -> Gestures and turn "Swipe up on phone button" off, (I did)

#5 Make sure SD card is seated properly.  If it's very old, might be going bad even if another device handles it.  I would try a new or different card before I would call it a bug.

    #6 Don't know What'sApp, so can't help here.

#7 Haven't seen pixcelated icons.  However, if you open the camera when the screen is locked, it will not show you a thumbnail bcause that would give someone access to all your pics.

#1 Everything including even things like app menu.

#2 There's "go to settings" icon at the bottom of the upper drop-down menu. It goes beyond the screen in landscape, clearly a bug: https://youtu.be/qpchLPzLq54

#3 I removed that from my post before you replied

#4 Yeah, I also disabled that gesture button, weird, it works like it's glitchy, still look buggy to me: https://youtu.be/34GHom__SnQ

#5 yes, I did and it's quite a new one, I bought it half year ago

    #6 Chat application

#7 It looks like it's meant to be half of its size, unfortunately photo can't show this: 20191220_173024.thumb.jpg.4a00c5bd08291f8d16b65016982ae909.jpg

  5. Bugs:

    •  Autorotate on hardware keyboard just stopped working and I can't get it back to working, I need to manually press the rotate button every time. What is interesting, it still works in Home Screen and returning to Home Screen also aligns the screen in correct position. I think it started happening after I installed KeyMapper but even after uninstalling it the bug is still there. Rebooting doesn't work. This bug is CRITICAL and I hope will be fixed in following weeks. Also, I won't factory reset the phone after entire day configuring it and moving all the data from my old phone.
    • Upper drop-down menu goes beyond the screen in landscape.
    • Gesture home button is broken in portrait. When in portrait mode, trying to open app window also opens the "used apps" window or whatever it's called, it's difficult to open apps window because you need to keep your finger moving all the way to the top of the screen, it's impossible to do when holding a phone with one hand. There is no such problem in landscape. I doesn't bother me that much because first thing I do is to disable gesture button but for others it may be annoying. I don't know if it's problem of Android in general or Fxtec software
    • Phone doesn't read my SD card at all. Sandisk SDHC 32GB
    • Camera button doesn't work in WhatsApp
    • Icons in camera app look pixelated and it's sometimes difficult to notice it taking a picture. There should some graphical effect to indicate a photo being taken.
    • Thanks 1
  6. I got my Pro1 from Clove, sent yesterday, picked up today. This is phone no.119 so it's quite interesting because this is a second batch phone.. So how many phones really were in first batch?

I asked for a refund of my original preorder already.

In my eyes it's extremely unfair towards everyone else, especially IGG backers but that's just Fxtec fault for allowing something like this to happen, especially because batches are supposed to be extremely small now, again, like first batch.

But I wouldn't ever have thought it could go as far as that the banal fact that two or three tiny resellers have each gotten a minuscule dozen or two of devices, too, between all those phones already shipped, the ones on its way right now and those which yet have to be shipped and manufactured, could make someone actually and in all seriousness construe a betrayal-conspiracy theory directed against thousands of early customers. It's devoid of any logic.

You know, it's not like hundreds or thousands of people already got their phones. If three resellers got 20 phones each that would probably be half of entire batch 2.

I would not expect any comments from their side or any other exact answer, rather than further charades like contract terms etc. That's a cruel reality, but business partners will always be more important than a single order and there's nothing we can do about it. Yet, that does not change a fact that what they did is just pure meanness. At least they could forbid them to sell the devices until it gets general availability...

Edit: don't You think that the devices available in other shops got sold out put in a pretty long time as for a device with "THAT big" interest? I have a feeling that all the devices were bought by Fx community and TMO. Seems like the rest of the world didn't even notice that there is such device as Pro 1. That does not bode a bright future...

I also think that they were all bought by people who already pre-ordered. This also shows that many people lost trust in Fxtec for delivering phones in reasonable time or even for everyone. Their January prediction is as "good" as all previous ones.

If you look at order numbers, barely any number is a valid one. There are still not even 3k valid orders and we don't know how many of them were unpaid/refunded. For me these numbers are extremely small, I know Fxtec is a startup but we didn't have landscape keyboard for years and BB Key2 sells much better than this. Few days ago there were as high as 45xxx order IDs, I had 22xxx order ID. Guess how much percentage of valid orders IDs there are after my order? Little more than 28% of all valid IDs...

I hoped Pro1 would make landscape keyboard phones be in interest again but it turns out it will be a phone that will be bought only be the most hardcore fans of landscape keyboards and the rest will be demotivated seeing what Fxtec is doing. In 2020 when it hits general availability(I guess Q2)  Pro1 price will be just too high for the hardware it gives for anyone not being fanatical in landscape keyboards so I don't predict many sales after it hits general availability. Sudden price bump to over 700 euro can be huge reason for people not to buy the phone now. However when it comes to prices, after that bump the price of Pro1 in Poland was over 800 euros and I needed to send support two emails to make them drop it to match other EU countries. It's like Fxtec didn't care that much about that error which could make people just skip the phone entirely seeing that price.

  9. Clove is out of stock: "OUT OF STOCK - next Due in January".

Really now? People getting phones from other sellers? What was the point of pre-ordering....

I also think that what is happening is an absurd. Not only this, it's already known that shipping order is also a mess. Normally I would wait for my order instead of doing something like this but I lost every bit of trust in Fxtec a long time ago. Now January, next February, them March etc. I had enough of this.

There is no need to buy a converter since all models include a power supply with US, European and UK plugs, so they can be used internationally.

Hmm, I remember there was an option to choose the plug type when I was pre-ordering or maybe it's just me, I don't know. Anyway, thanks for letting me know this.

  11. Clove.co.uk got their phones yesterday. They had only 4 phones left now but I bought one, probably they have even less now. I will gladly cancel my pre-order from fxtec when I get it. I don't care that it costs 15% more than pre-order from Fxtec directly and that I will have to buy UK to EU converter for charger, at least I will be sure that I will get the phone instead of waiting for who knows how many months and also I don't need to be afraid that Fxtec could suddenly stop production if they go bankrupt, making all that wait and stress using barely usable phone now worthless.

I only wonder if they bought it from Fxtec as a normal consumer or if they had an agreement. The contract with DragonBox is a pure absurd showing complete dishonesty of Fxtec, no shop should get a phone to sell until general availability. I don't know what Fxtec is thinking. Of course I don't blame DragonBox for that, I can be even thankful that they sell phones because they give possibility to some people to actually get their phones, it's a problem with Fxtec, if they were fair they wouldn't sell any phones to shops.

Same here - the package is in transit from UK to PL, currently waiting since 11h in some hub in DE. Guess the 24€ paid for the delivery was the cheapest option there is...

Despite their announcements, I'm not an IGG backer, standard QWERTY, paid after 10 days from receiving the payment mail, order number 12xxx... dunno what else can matter here. Not contacted the support even once, I was expecting to be in batch 3 at best, but got surprised. Feeling a bit unfair, but I'm not going to be sorry for them to do that mistake, I'm letting the community do its job.

This is a perfect example how not to treat the customers.

Looking at what is happening it seems that there's a complete mess. Some people with early payments or IGG coupons did not get their phones but people without IGG coupons get them. I don't know what's difficult in creating some simple SELECT statements in database, unless their database is also a mess. You are lucky and I agree with you not feeling sorry for Fxtec for that mistake. For me even if there is a possibility that my order suddenly could went up in the queue somehow, I do now want to play a lottery with it so I bought it from a retailer.

Just a question, what company is delivering it to you?

True.  So you can lock it if you don't want root, or use magisk if you do want root, both ways google pay will work.  (This doesn't solve the part I didnt quote tho.)

Unfortunately from what I read it's not that viable option because there's still a chance that google pay will just stop working like it was 9 months ago and from what I saw it wasn't something like "just update magisk and use google pay again" to get it working again at that time so it's definitely not a "stable" solution and especially not for a person that just doesn't want to have any contact with doing command line things in android, for me a phone should a device that I use whenever I want, not a device that needs a time and effort to be usable, especially that expensive device.

I wrote a question to fxtec about it. I have a feeling that first batch users are the real beta testers.

  13. 3 minutes ago, Craig said:

Not yet.  And I'll be happy enough to do it while rooted and unlocked, but haven't figured that out either.

I heard that Google Pay doesn't work with unlocked bootloader because it appears non-certified.

Also, if company would like me to get my phone encrypted and secured for using it for work they won't be happy with a rooted device.

I hope they fix that soon.

Slight flaw in this theory: Erik stated that from now on batches will contain 10..20% of pre-orders. No statement was made about the first two batches (where the first was agreed here  to be ~120 devices).

All we know for certain is 120+ devices were delivered and less than 45'000 devices were ordered. Anything in between is guesswork.

    This sets us at:

Batch 1+2 made at worst 121 devices for 45k orders -> 0.3% of all pre-orders.
(sure - batch 2 might have been bigger than only ONE device 😉 - but that's the guaranteed minimum)

So worst case: still 10 weeks until all are shipped.

with following assumptions: batch 2 contained 10% of pre-orders as batch 3 with guesstimated 20k devices ordered:

This would put batch 2 at 2k devices, making batch 1 kinda irrelevant, therefore still 5..9 weeks to go.

So cutting something off from the "5-10 weeks to go" is wishful thinking, but not mathematically sound.

I hope, they can get everything done until end of January! Good luck to all! 🙂

There are no 45k devices ordered. Order numbers aren't viable for this because not every number is an actual order.

Around three weeks ago there were less than 2,5k orders, this counts all orders, paid, unpaid, refunded. You could use their API to check that but you need to scan every order number to know if it's valid or not. After their increased price to >700 euro to make people stop refunding and waiting for final release barely any new number was an order. Don't know how it is now but I guess they lose more orders thanks to refunds that they gain now. I guess after refunds there may be many less than 2k actual orders to be fulfilled. First batch, 120 devices, was little over 5% of all orders because it was around 2300 orders back then but as I said, that number contains also unpaid and refunded orders. After their Christmas failure even more people will refund. From the rebirth of landscape qwerty to the biggest failure in landscape qwerty history. I only hope the justice will be done for Fxtec for all their lies.

I think you severely overestimate the size of the first batch.

P.S. But come to think of it, I recall earlier you invented the 3rd batch, so maybe you mean second batchers.  In which case, true.

I know the size of first batch, forums are barely alive and most of people who write are the same people who already got their phones.

Second batch wasn't even sent to warehouses and there's almost no chance to get phones before Christmas or maybe even before end of 2019. It seems that everyone gets the same time now, including me who was way behind every order because I wasn't IGG backer and my payment mail wasn't properly sent because of magical issues, so either Fxtec lies as usual or got hit so hard by refunds that I entered 2nd batch.

Anyway, I started emails to support from time to time with questions about shipping and they always reply my with my date + the same number of days so it's not coming any closer.

    5 hours ago, SchattengestaIt said:

Soooo... you are basically offering the regular (current) price with quite a few (though reasonable) demands to buy weeks to months?

Doesn't sound like the best offer to me.

If you really want the phone now, you should probably start from 800€ upwards.

For a 20€ win margin nobody will face the trouble to sell you a brand new phone, shipping it to you and making sure that he doesn't too much money with fees.

Still worth a try, for a phone with many software issues maybe someone would like to sell it now. It was already listed on ebay once for cheaper, maybe there are more people but want to avoid 10% fee. Phone is not worth more than 800 euros and anyone offering or demanding that much would be an idiot unless Fxtec goes out of business and nobody else gets their phones which is probable. Also, keep in mind that everyone who got their phones now paid 649 euro + shipping costs, so I am offering 90 euros more than paid, with shipping costs it's around 65 euros gain, 10% of price.

  16. Because on this forum most of people are first batchers, I have an offer for you.

I will buy your Pro1 but the shipping must be from Europe, the phone must be QWERTY version. I pay 739 euro + shipping costs. If you don't want to list it on any trustable website because of fees, you WILL have to send a PayPal Invoice. The box can be opened but the phone must be intact and should be working on Android without any modifications. You will have to provide photos of a box and of the device if the box was opened(you can blur IMEI and things like that).  The shipping must be done by parcel company like DHL(no local post services) and should be done the next day after payment.

Please send me a private message here on forums if you are interested.

  17. If someone is angry that I criticize Fxtec all the time it's because we still get ignored by Fxtec.  They don't write here, they don't admit their mistakes, they don't explain what is happening. They pee on you and you are happy.

I actually give up. Fxtec prefer to pee on anyone wanting them to be honest. See how little amount of people are there on forums. Most of these left are white knights who will defend Fxtec even if Fxtec send bricks instead of phones and they would still adore Fxtec for that. Other people just give up and it seems that there is no other way because Fxtec just doesn't want to be honest.

With that attitude of Fxtec there won't be for sure any phone after Pro1. Now there are not even 3000 orders, people want refunds and I'm sure that a lot of people already asked for refunds. Also I'm sure that not all orders will be fulfilled. Stream of lies and false promises that even they knew they can't keep it but they did everything so people think "it's just a week/month more". Previous project of Fxtec was a failure. Even if they go into general availability, nobody is going to buy a 718 euro phone that has hardware that can be found now in ~350 euro ones and in 2020 it will be worth even less. Shipping to warehouses takes so much time like they used China Post or whatever cheapest option available. They don't even tell their support anything. Even Eric was given a stream of BS and he had to explain himself multiple times because of it. I thought that from 29th October Fxtec will try to to fix their mistakes but it's worse than ever, constant stream of lies. Mid-November but end-November but December for shipping to customers wait no warehouses. Support will tell you different info every time because they themselves probably was given an info like that. Unihertz managed to keep the price of Titan on a good level but it's too late to pre-order it for lower price because their ended their pre-order campaign. Someone who doesn't want badly landscape slider won't buy Pro1 and Fxtec failed to bring back landscape sliders. Order numbers are still rising but barely any of these new numbers are actual orders. Fxtec wasted all their chances to get Pro1 to the top. I wonder how many people still trust them, 50? 20? The rest that didn't cancel is still there because there's still chargeback if everything goes to hell. There's always only a small portion of people on forums and you can all see how many people here already cancelled their orders. If nothing happens to the end of December I will definitely cancel my preorder too, maybe to this time there will be an option to buy a Titan, unfortunately for full price because of Fxtec. I trusted Fxtec but they made too many mistakes. If I will receive finally Pro1 by some miracle, I will definitely buy replacement parts on instant in case they quickly go bankrupt but I'm not counting on receiving a phone at this stage now. So many months for 120 phones. Also, you can guess which people on these forums are about to get one of these 120 phones and they tell you "wait one more month, it will be worth it!", "Fxtec did nothing wrong, it's a startup", suuuuure. If you were in situation of these other 95% people you wouldn't say BS like that. I don't cancel now because there will be always chargeback in case everything goes to hell, still, maybe so many people will cancel their orders that I will receive one of these 120 mysterious phones, lol, also there's no way to pre-order Titan for lower price so I need to wait anyway now for general availability of Titan, thanks Fxtec.

I wish there was another company that could make a landscape slider and do it finally right.

    Bye.

FYI, As a Moto Mod Indiegogo backer, with a preorder number of 1008X, and having paid immediately on July 31st, I emailed info@fxtec for an update.

Was advised that I am not part of the first batch (small batch was emphasized), and that my "batch" is expected to be ready mid November, but won't arrive in my hands until December.

    Patience.

So, it only took them 7 days to delay phones that much? Nice. On 5th November I got reply that third batch will be delivered to customers by the end of November. Now it seems that even second batch won't be delivered by the end of November. Now I wonder if third batch will even arrive in 2019. Instead of getting closer to shipping other batches, we are getting further away from it. Nice, one week of waiting, two weeks of delay. Maybe the phone will be shipped in 2021, who knows?

As usual, Fxtec ignores us all and they still didn't even admit that they delays here. 2 weeks after "shipping date" people still don't have their tracking numbers and it's "according to plans" for Fxtec. What Fxtec does disgusts me.

I am always a little bewildered by how 'emotional' some people are, especially regarding a buying decision pertaining a cell phone. I mean, it's just a phone. If the amount of money that I "invest" into a phone is anything but negligible, I made a wrong decision in the first place!

(read: if your "business success" depends on a cell phone, I might question the business case :D)

Sure, I get the hype about finally having a cell with an actual keyboard again. Trust me - I want it just as much as the other guy, but honestly: It's just a phone and if I have to be honest to myself: 95%+ a Jobs Slab is all about I need. Most of my "unlocks" are to read an incoming message, check the whether, etc.pp..

Less than 5% I actually need to type stuff (OTOH I would not dare to try to logon to my systems via passphrase using an onscreen-keyboard - so there will be an old use-case re-added as soon as I receive this device ;)).

While I do not expect the money for this pre-order to be a write-off, I do not really care about it being 'locked' to this purchase. Given, if your current device is on its edge to give up, you're probably a little more on fingernail biting, but really - one month more or less, does this really matter?

(Gear-lust-related: of course, it does - but if you can distract your self, time will fly and sooner or later you have a (hopefully) nice phone at your doorstep. So relax and smile to your future self ;))

First, if you treat 650 euros "negligible" then either you have rich parents or you have extremely well paid job, no offense. Pro1 is extremely expensive phone and for most of us the most expensive phone even "bought". There are no alternatives to Pro1 right now so you can't just buy other landscape slider and Pro1 is meant to be long lasting device unlike other android phones like Samsungs. Also, it doesn't mean if it's a phone, a PC, a car or whatever, 650 euros is 650 euros. I guess that less that 1% of people who "bought" Pro1 see 650 euros as "negligible".

Second, as I said already "one month more or less" was already happening for few months and honestly I started thinking that Fxtec knew about the huge needed delay already months ago but they preferred to split into into small one months delays so people think exactly like that, I realized that their early-September promise of mid-September shipping was just impossible and unrealistic because there was no way a phone could be produced and shipped to warehouses in two weeks, including customs. They had to know that they set unrealistic dates and probably did so so people wont' cancel because "it's only month more". So far two weeks from shipping date and no one got their tracking numbers. My current phone was already in bad shape when first delays came, now it's barely usable and it seems that getting the phone in November is impossible because we are now in mid-November still without even first batch.

And also, we still can't be sure that Fxtec won't suddenly say "sorry but there will be no more phones than first batch". Remember that first batch(~120 phones) took them few months to produce. They said that will magically fulfill all current orders to the end of November but so far it seems like BS. Whoever relays info to support to tell us, second batch is supposed to leave factories in mid-November(now) and third batch is about to arrive to customers by the end of November. If you compare them to first batch, third one should be already leaving factories too which is not realistic.  So far it's getting worse and worse and few days ago first batch suddenly was again at customs. Fxtec doesn't try to give us any valid info and all they tell us is vagueness and things that quickly are proven to invalid. Suddenly shipping to warehouses by air takes two weeks, I guess the plane must be circling around airport for days(lol) or they took boxed for a tourist trip around the world.

Fxtec could end all of this now by giving us a feed of HONEST info but they still prefer to ignore their customers. I shouldn't be writing all of this and I do this only because Fxtec is dishonest and disrespectful and they know that they can do things like that because people who want landscape slider have literally no other choice.

Actually, I believe that tweet was for comments being made elsewhere—Telegram, IIRC, but I could be wrong.  He does post here, as Waxberry I believe.  I doubt he has a lot of time to spend here these days.

If he does read here, hopefully he remains aware of the rule of forums.  People tend to post most when they have complaints but there are probably a lot more people who are disappointed by delays, but are happy to keep going and give them their support.

Yes, their communication sucks. But their phone won't.

The communication won't get fixed right now.  I still trust them.  Because I have seen steady if slow progress.

They are only really guilty of believing up to the last minute that other companies are going to come through for them. 😉 And, frankly, I'm glad they are putting all effort into getting us our phones rather than circling back about the case thing.  I freely admit I didn't like the first case they showed and I don't tend to use cases anyway, so I'm biased there.

    Go, Chen, Go!

Post and tweet was on the same day but I don't know which was first because forums show only date.  I guess it was about the forums because the word "lie" was used few times in that post.

Phone won't suck also if it won't be delivered because something that doesn't exist can't suck. Still they didn't try to give us any proof of any other batch than first one and still first batch info starts to be really confusing as people here pointed this. Soon it will be two week since shipping date and shipping didn't even start yet. Fxtec still didn't admit that they have delays.

About the case, they could tell us much sooner, again, we got to know about it only because people wanted to know if case will be included in all preorders. If people didn't ask we would probably know about this until people unboxed their phones. This is clear dishonesty. Still, even if we can be at least glad that they didn't delay the phone because of case, they decided to include almost useless sleeve, so they had to put effort into fancy looking sock that most of us will probably throw into closet. How many people we see in daily life use sleeves for their phones? I don't know anyone. However I know many people who use hard cases or elastic ones. Also quite few people I know use tempered glass protectors, something we can't use on Pro1 because of curved screen and case was meant to solve the problem of not being able to protect the screen in accidental drops. Eske had really interesting ideas of possible Pro1 case.

It seems that Unihertz Titan campaigns ended because the production is about to start now in November. If Fxtec fails now I will be pissed and probably will have to buy overpriced BB Key2, this will be the only option now to have qwerty. Still, I doubt I could survive having a crappy screen size and probably would stay with slabs.

So ... If you trust FX enough, or having the device first is worth the risk to loose your money, stop complaining on a forum that isn't read by FX PR or Leader. It's more noise and source of anger

    (...)

The forum is read by Fxtec, someone in this topic said that Fxtec lied and Chen made a twitter post whining about it. So, even the top person knows what is happening here on forums. Fxtec just decides to ignore own customers and treat us like we aren't even worth being told what is happening with the phone and they think that some information about first batch that barely covers anyone is enough. Anyway, I would be surprised if Fxtec didn't read the forum at all, it would be an insult to everyone who write here. This is the only way to force information from Fxtec because they don't tell their support about details either.

Also, pre-orders means that money should be protected. However someone posted here that he wanted to cancel the order but twice that person got emails from fxtec persuading to not to cancel his order instead. I wish that person could share more info about email contents but so far no messages from that person. If this is really true then it may be very worrying but without more details we can't know what really happened in these emails or if the situation was even real.

Another thing is that Fxtec promised to ask for payment only few weeks before shipping and we were lied about it(let's see if they will whine about it again). In case Fxtec goes out of business, you can even chargeback. I paid with Revolut and there are 120 days from transaction or from supposed delivery date so I am pretty safe. So if you write to support with questions about delivery date of your Pro1 you will have a proof just in case they go bankrupt. It's not igg or kickstarter anyway so they will have to refund your money but chargeback will be the last resort if they will be unable to do this.

We don't know what is happening in Fxtec and if they are already going down, we won't know this until the last moment.

It's really quite common for startups (and even phone launches from big brands) to come waay later than they initially plan to ship. They've already manufactured a bunch of phones so it will go relatively fast now probably. Unless you have a personal reason to be in a hurry to get a phone I think the wait will be well worth it ultimately, don't let the peoples worry and complaints here be contagious :D.

But what about the fact that Fxtec on numerous occasions tried to make an impression that the phone is almost ready? They said payment only just before shipping, one of delay was only because of "licenses"and Chinese holidays, not because of production. In the beginning of September they said that shipping pre-orders will start mid-September and to tell this phones should be already on their way to warehouses from the factory. Instead of telling the truth they were dishonest at least. They probably knew that they can't deliver phones but decided to keep writing things that they had to know that are impossible. 29th October wasn't a shipping date, everyone knows that but Fxtec still didn't admit that. Instead of being realistic and saying the truth, they decided to "delay" the phone few times a little every time so people will think every time "ok, I will wait, it's only month", soon we will be in 2020. "Just wait a little longer" happened too many times already. I think they knew that it will take much longer but preferred to feed us with some BS from time to time so people won't start cancelling. Recent twitter messages of Chen also shows that there is something shady. Also, Chen showed that he reads forums but just ignores all questions about what is happening. They abuse their position of the only possible producer of landscape slider, if there was another landscape slider on the way, people would probably cancel their Pro1 pre-orders and go with the other one.

The "but they are startup" argument is not valid anymore because they did too many mistakes already. They don't inform us about anything what is happening with production, only some vague info. We know only that there are around ~120 phones existing that took them months of delays, they said that production started already months ago. If it was really because they are startup and overestimated few things then they would be honest with us and give them any info they can. All phones should be delivered already long ago but still nobody even got their tracking number. Instead of being honest all that Fxtec can do is saying "soon", being silent or whining that people call them liars. They don't even try to give us specific details what is happening and they think that telling "soon" or giving a false release date is enough.

Before everything started falling apart I praised Fxtec and wanted to tell every friend about Pro1 and encourage them to support Fxtec. I couldn't understand how anyone could criticize Fxtec for what they do.

Fxtec made me lose all my trust in them, the only true thing now is that if they go out of business, they have to return us the money.
