That one claims to be the Elephone U frame, which, if true and probably is, the frame won't work on the Pro1. There is one that claimed to have the frame for the Pro1 and I ordered one (it's in my closet-- luckily I haven't yet had a need for it). Unfortunately, they are out of the frame. They do have the display.
https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256804876586192.html
But any of the Elephone U displays, without a frame will work on the Pro1. Just have to un-glue the old display from the frame and glue the new one. I haven't done it, but from what people have said, it isn't super aggressive gluing you have to undo. Most phone shops can handle it if you are unsure.
Gotcha and thanks. I have already swapped the display on my Pro1 via the unglueing, but I have another Pro1 where the display has simply stopped working, possibly due to the twin ribbon cable being plugged and unplugged so many times for various repairs, so was hoping a new frame would fix that, either that or try to find a new ribbon cable.
That's a shame, I actually bought the above frame in the vain hope that it did fit, all but 2 of the screw holes and ribbon cable connectors all seem to be in the right place, at the very least it should tell me if it's the ribbon cable or frame that's shot.
Thanks again.

Note that the frame for Elephone U and Pro1 are NOT the same.
PS all after https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005006442906382.html in the link is just tracking....So... Did anyone find out if this part fits the Pro1? Your message implies not but you still reposted the link sans-tracking...

Yo folks, I have just replaced the screen on my Pro1 with one from Ali-Express, so I now have that weird lack of sensitivity at the edges.
Can someone please talk me through flashing the device to fix it? Is there a way of doing it without losing all my data?
Hope someone can help!
Thanks

Okey dokey, in that case it'll have to be a case of getting a Pro1 and a Pro1X in pieces side by side. Shame I sold my Pro1X!
Will keep my eyes out for a cheap one someone is sick of to do some science.

Hiya folks, the title says it all really but here goes the question:
What parts are shared between the Pro1 and Pro1X?
I'm talking about everything down to the wiring, is the screen flex cable the same? The whole screen itself? What parts of the body/case? The usb module? The minijack module?
You get the jist.
Thanks!

Hiya folks, just gonna bump this, as I have a faulty screen flex cable or ribbon cable on a Pro1 from it being taken apart too many times.
If anyone has any info on a replacement I'd be most appreciative.
Thanks!

Update on LOS21.
Seems pretty good, not too much different from 20, as in it looks and feels the same.
Not totally convinced that reception or battery life is much improved but I'm not sorry I made the upgrade.

Oh wait... Hang on one cotton-pickin minute...
When in the bootloader my device is not seen as an adb device, but is seen as a fastboot device.
Finished! I just needed an old usb-c 2.0 cable and it looks like I was asking the wrong questions. When in the bootlader the phone isn't an adb device, it's a fastboot device, so searching for adb devices won't turn anything up anyway... All this time I was just asking the wrong questions.
I'm gonna update my earlier post from last year where I didn't tell myself what was going on. Sorry for the spam.

Usually it is a matter of the port being too good on the pc. Drivers can also be an issue. I have had problems with usb3.0 but going through a hub also offering 3.0 was enough for me.... (My first attempt was to take a REALLY cheap old hub (usb 1??), and it worked but was extremely slow in transferring, so experimenting further used a usb 3 port on my thunderbolt 4 connected 'docking')
Since the last install of LOS20 my pc has been upgraded so I no longer have any 'bad' USB ports, they are all 3.1.
However I do have another PC which is not quite so advanced as this one, hopefully it will have a few USB 2.0 ports I can make use of... After a little digging I've found that the 8 pin configuration of USB 3+ makes it bad for adb in fastboot mode, which prefers USB 2 with it's 4 pin connection. I'll try it out tomorrow and get back to ya.

Ah crap, having problems getting adb to list my device in Fastboot mode again.
I had this problem last time and spent days getting round it, I've just been reading over my old posts seing if I actually detailed a fix but my posts say "I have this problem...."
Then the next one says "After days of fiddling I've got it to work!" without actually saying what I did.
Damn you past me... Damn you.

Can it be true? Does this include Mindthe Gapps?
I'll give it a try and let you all know the results. Will take a while so don't expect me back on here too soon.

This exact version will never quite become the official version. Nolen maintains his own versions, although he also contributes to and uses some of the same work that goes into the official versions. So, yes, if you want to switch to the official version when it comes out, you would have to do a clean install. That said, there is also no guarantee that there will be an official version . Of course, I assume there will be, but Lineage could decide to drop support for the Por1 and Pro1x. We don't know until we know (Lineage never answers questions about future versions or support).
Er... ah... um... oh. Well... Guess I'll stick to 20 for now then. Unless user data helps development of an official LOS 21 build?
I'm liking Kzin's words about LOS 21 and being tempted... Mmmmm - signal- mMMMmmm- Battery life. Tasty.

If I install and try out this unofficial Lineage OS 21, will I have to reinstall it again when it becomes official? Or is the "Official" part simply a matter of testing and language?
In other words, should I spend a few frustrating days shouting at my computer and phone, only to have to do it again in a month or two? Or should I go ahead and install this, knowing the version on my phone will be official when the website says so?

Hiya folks
So, I've got a Pro1X with all of the Pro1X issues that I wish to sell.
The box has been opened but the device is in near mint condition with a custom book style case that I made for it.
Anyone have any idea what the current going rate is for one of these?
Will follow with pictures shortly.
Thanks

The telegram beta channel is pretty much dead. The last updated beta is like months ago
Hmm, is the silence driven by lack of contribution by the consumers? Or lack of replies by the support team?
I guess I'll find out, I've just bought a pay as you go sim which I'll use for continued testing for a few days.
Not seen telegram before and thought it would be a bit more in depth than it is, it's just a messaging service. I offered to send my phone to them so they could reproduce the fault and do some debugging, Francisco said no, not yet.

Very interesting (though obviously sad) that you experience the issue in the UK, that might make it easier for FxTec to reproduce. Allow me to suggest you to get in direct contact with FxTec (let me tag @Casey here hoping it will be seen). Maybe your details on location, type of plan with the EE operator or what ever can help them reproduce the bug at a location more handy than the reports from the US. With a little luck they have an employee or associate living close to you.
Them being able to reproduce the bug, is the first step towards any possible fix or improvement! 🤗
I did contact F(x)tec and got a reply super quick.
Fransisco seems to be the guy that always gets back to me, he's been very helpful so far, selling me a new battery and the very last USB-C module for the Pro1.
Here was the reply:
Hi Andy,
Yes we have reports of some conectivity issues which are being troubleshooted.
I invite you to join the Beta group at : https://community.fxtec.com/topic/3644-pro1-x-beta-test-scheme-for-android-os/ for further talks with developers and other users.
Best Regards,
FranciscoI hope this is helpful to some people and perhaps gives folks some reassurance that work is being done.

Hiya folks
At the risk of just being another voice in the choir, I too had dodgy LTE connectivity.
I use EE in the UK and while using the Pro1X people could rarely hear my voice and calls would often be dropped, it got a bit better when I went outside into the back yard.
Yesterday I switched back to my Pro1 and made a couple of tester calls from exactly the same locations in my house as I had experienced problems with the Pro1X and calls were perfect, the people on the other end even immediately remarked on how much better they could hear me.
I've read quite a lot of this thread and it doesn't seem like there's been any forward movement to resolution yet, but I will keep my eyes peeled and send a message to FXtex to see what they say.

Hiya folks
I recently changed the battery in my Pro1 but noticed no improvement upon charge capacity, (I didn't know you can check the battery health).
I therefore believe my old battery to be ok health-wise, only one problem... Likle a clumsy lump I accidentally ripped the connector from the end of the ribbon cable.
Anyone want the battery for the price of postage?
**Edit**
Battery has now been claimed and is no longer available.
Thanks for your interest.

Hiya folks
As the title says, I have a spare USB-C module up for grabs. The only problem is that it has a faulty microphone.
I had the USB-C port repaired (so that part is lovely and new) and when it came back, I put it into my phone and nobody could hear me when I made calls, nor could I record my voice.
So if someone wants it, you can have it for the cost of postage.
Please DM me if you're interested.
Thanks
Andy
*Edit - The part has now been claimed.*

Oooh! Is that a thing in Lineage for the Pro1?! Sweet, I'll take a look as soon as the USB-C port gets back from the repair shop.
Thanks 🙂
Finally got the USB-C port repaired on my Pro1 and it's now up and running on Lineage OS 20.0.
I'm loving it so far, that notification LED settings thing is an absolute dream, the text and icon sizing is lovely, the darker look is far more to my taste, I can also be heard on phone calls again... Looks like the Pro1 is replacing my Pro1X as daily driver.

LineageOS 21 - No Outgoing Call Ringing Sound Playing After Dialing of Number - Fxtec Pro1 X?

Thanks chief
That worked for me too, though now my GPS is all over the place. I got lost while driving round because it couldn't lock onto my location. I use my phone as the sat-nav fairly regularly, so this is a weird one for me. Hoping the sat-nav issue is a Lineage6 22.- update issue rather than a problem with the Network type.
