  1. @64_Tesseract Pro1 and Pro1-X are not compatible, LineageOS should has a separate branch for these phones. However, official support should arrive also for Pro1-X after it becomes available, it is a work in progress as far as I know. Also, Pro1 can not be bought anymore because its heart (the SoC) became unavailable for F(x)tec.

  2. I don't think it develops. It's always been there but you don't usually notice it at first. Both my Pro1s have that to various extent in some corners. Just a common defect on those screens it seems.

  3. Beloved community, here it is: Another up-to-date outdated ROM to satisfy your custom ROM fetish. LineageOS 17.1 JeBB "A noble spirit embiggens the smallest man!" is (so far) a slightly modified build that will be updated in irregular intervals. Future builds may contain additional fixes, or I may attempt to fix things with a Magisk module ... "may" is the important word here 😉 This build can be installed from scratch like any LineageOS build (LineageOS Wiki). Dirty-flashing from the last official LineageOS 17.1 is possible, but the official signature keys have to be exch

  4. Time for a new build. My old mirror raid needed some action. This time, I included some patches that @claude0001 backported to LOS16. I also made the touch screen margin control more granular, so you might want to check if the settings are to your liking. And, this build got rid of the Bluetooth file transfer MIME type restriction.

  6. That's pretty wild. I am hoping by the end of March we will see some results as to what the carriers will be allowing or not. I'm going to try to have a chat with Verizon tech department about their future plans and maybe making some changes if there's enough support. So far we have simply speculated, I'd like some hard answers. Depending on how that turns out, we'll follow up on at&t. I'm doing Verizon first because I'm a customer

  7. No, I think it won't. UbuntuTouch for the Pro1 (and for the Pro1-X, as far as I know) is a hybris port, meaning it does not actually use it own Linux kernel. It re-uses the kernel of the original AndroidOS that came with the device (together with other core parts of Android). That basic support for the Pro1 is in mainline now, is certainly a good thing in itself. But right now it allows not much more than booting to a terminal. There is no support for any advanced hardware that one needs for the device to fulifil its purpose as a phone. It may be an interesting starting point for new

  8. We do not know anything about the status of OS development for the (future) Pro1-X. What we do ḱnow is that UbuntuTouch on the original (835) Pro1 is falling behind LineageOS by many orders of magnitude. LineageOS outclasses even the official Android 9 OS that came with the device, while UbuntuTouch -- unfortunately -- lacks some of the most basic functionality even two years into development The reason for this is that F(x)tec officially support neither of those OSes for the original Pro1, but, because of the much larger community, LineageOS has much more traction. Hopefully the si
