  1. It may also happen Expansys bought some of them and as they were the shipping company and they have received these phones, they have started to sell out them while F(x)tec tried to negotiate the shipping of the rest. ...or there is really a grey / legal way for Expansys to sell out devices supposed to go for IGG backers (and existence of this possibility was unknown for F(x)tec or it was discussed prior sending devices for shipping) and that case a really long time for finding a solution may also be an initiation of a new manufacturing run by F(x)tec of these orders... and they may though

  2. You're not alone - no-one knows what's going on! The last update didn't say the stock was stolen so we have to assume Expansys bought some to sell and our phones are sitting on a pallet waiting for December when the faries are going to start shipping them.

  4. 307 € (2249 HK$) for the device (6/128 GB) + 62 € (450 HK$) for rest-of-world shipping via DHL + 87 € german customs and VAT = 456 € total. Haven't unboxed yet, so let's see this was worth it ...

  5. Found this thread following your suggestion: https://community.fxtec.com/topic/3670-pro1x-stock-android-non-gms-build/?do=findComment&comment=63768 Pretty cool. Sounds like a good interim solution before we get official LineageOS support. Thanks for the heads-up.

  6. Have to say, this latest update on IGG (again they've not bothered to e-mail it to backers) is quite spectacularly useless and content-free. While there are some possibly slightly outlandish theories that have been been aired on this forum, that's pretty understandable as plainly "something is going on", and FxTec's communications with their backers have been, and remain, frankly atrocious. I find it hard to blame people for coming to, and voicing, their own conclusions. It's an object-lesson in how not to handle such matters. *If* the reason for them failing to explain the situati

  7. First of all I would like to say I've been on quite the quest for a handheld device like the Pro1. I'm a Linux sysadmin and Linux enthusiast. I have Linux on both my home and laptop computers. I have a customised desktop environment containing my workflow made up of scripts and programs I created over time to make me more productive. My quest has been to find a device that let's me work in the Linux environment at an actual usable level while on the go. Well, I can safely say the Pro1 is that device! In the picture above is my Pro1 running Arch Linux inside a chroot with full r

  8. Still there. A little odd... you first actually have to launch the two apps you want to split. Then you have to go to the app switcher. I use the old navigation bar, so I just tap the square to get to the switcher. Then hold the icon over the first app you want on the split screen. It offers the option to "split left". Then it will ask you to pick the card for the second app. Just tap that apps card and the two apps will pop up in split screen. Used to be easier and more flexible, but I think that's probably Android 12.

  9. well i have it for quite a while now this are my pros and cons: pro: -keyboard -custom firmware (unlocked bootloader) -good battery -the n900 notification light -good build quality -what you would expect cons: -bad call quality (people can't understand you) -weak wifi signal -os not the best (if you want vowifi you need lineage), needs development -ghost touches -fingerprint sensor -shifted keyboard layout to the right... why not use a normal one... -proper camera software (or a gcam port that works) things i would want to have but are not cons: -smal

  10. Fedex just dropped off my new toy a half an hour ago. Did a quick and dirty GPS comparison outside (Northern NJ). After clearing the agps data on both and waiting about 2 minutes, got the results below. Flip 3 on the left, Pro1-X on the right.
