I believe you have the same issue that I ran into. There is a somewhat thick plastic over those buttons (or tack switches) on the frame behind those buttons, this plastic is adjusting the height so that outside buttons can press on those the tack switches. For me, the black plastic is gone for the both volume buttons and I destroyed the camera button to the point that it is unusable 😞. I was able to put two layers of electrical tape over these (one layer was enough, but a bit too thin). This hack works, but now I have to press them harder to make them work. One precaution I can

I'm pretty sure lithium-ion batteries are generally stored and shipped with a reasonable level of charge, as they can be problematic to recover when they go flat.

Hello everyone, I would like to shortly introduce myself. My name is Matthias, I am new in this community. I don't have a fxtec, but I have a blackberry passport se. Today it is not suitable for everyday use, it is only a fun smartphone for me. I have develop some android Apps for this device and playstore and whatsapp is running. But my main smartphone is a pixel 7. I would like to replace the passport with a fxtec-smartphone. I hope I can find a Pro1 X smartphone. 🙂 Best regards Matthias

Hello again. Great news - I was able to fully customize my hardware keyboard layout in AlienDalvik without 3rd-party apps, just natively! Here's how I did it. AlienDalvik, for some reason, accepts only the default keylayout and keychar files, which are Generic.kl (keycodes) and Generic.kcm (the keyboard layout). They can be found in system/usr/keylayout and system/usr/keychars. I attach them here so you don't need to unsquashfs the big image (what I did). If you have the Pro1 with shifted QWERTY keyboard, you don't need to touch Generic.kl file (it's already correct). If yo

Happened to me, too, with one of the Pro1's volume buttons and the camera button. Also, I managed to tear the fingerprint reader's connector apart, even though I *had* read warnings about both issues. Maybe I would have been more careful if the Pro1's disassembly wouldn't have been shown to look like a piece of cake right from the start... And some parts being prone to break in disassembly are one thing; it wouldn't be as bad as it is if there was an ample supply of spare parts...

Hello. My F(x)tec Pro 1x is not booting up anymore. It was working fine, and I thought the battery might've run out, but I've tried charging it, holding the power button, plugged into a computer... it just refuses to boot up. When I first connect it to a charger, the red light above the display blinks once, but then there is nothing after that. The device is new and I am running stock everything. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much.

I have cancelled my order in January by contacting the support team. I suppose there is no other way. I have sent many e-mails, but nothing happened yet. They don't respect themselves as a company, so they will definitely not respect their customers. I will try to do a credit card claim. Hopefully this will work since I am in Germany.
