  1. That "web3 garbage" has been going on since early 2022 at least and is likely how our Pro1xs got manufactured. Thank goodness, because clearly the troubles with the Pro1x were costly, As for the new phone, that is a separate project, may not exist yet other than as a branded plastic model in Adrian's pocket and if it brings in investment that can be used to help solve the shipping problem, fine with me. Yes, web3 is the web and not all that useful in modern industrialized settings, but there are some uses, as I understand it, in forming ad hoc networks in regions not well served by

  2. This is so sad, and I think we'll have to wait years and years for the next slider smartphone, if it ever happens. It's even sadder if you see the market these days, with vendors keeping removing features and flagships that are missing features such as the notification LED or the headphone jack.

  3. so.... the last update was about shipping, meaning the devices are done and just sitting in boxes somewhere? like how hard is it to ship things? just put the devices in the mail like JFC how hard is it to put a stamp and go to the post office... selling devices on xpansys has crossed the line to genuine fraud? now they make new products without fulfilling their previous product?

  4. I have uploaded a new build of LineageOS 16.0 for Pro1 (SD835) at: https://findus.zwergenschaenke.net/~puma/linux.html#lineagepro1 It gives you ASB fixes backported to Android 9 up to patchlevel "5 August 2023". There are no other changes with respect to the June update above. I will continue to make new builds of LOS 16 as long as I use my Pro1 or until Markus stops backporting the ASBs, whatever comes first. However, as the Pro1/X community -- and by extension this forum -- seems to be dying, I'm not sure I will keep updating this thread much longer. If you are using my builds

  5. Too bad. Then the Unihertz series is no option for me it seems. Ages ago, the N900 also suffered from its small keyboard and too few (coding-relevant) symbols pre-printed on the keys. However its creators -- programmers themselves -- knew this and included facilities for extensive key-remapping into the OS. The good old times ... One point for the Pro1 here, I guess.

  6. Besides the apparent lack of free ROMs, my biggest concern is that the keyboard -- unlike the Pro1(X)'s -- seems to lack many of the special symbols important for shell work or coding. Like "~", "|", ">" "\", or the sqare ("[]") and curly ("{}") brackets. Is there a way to enter these characters using the hw keyboard, e.g. via customisation?
