  1. Camera functionality seems to be important to @mangled. The device pages for Pro1 and Pro1X still state camera stack to be unstable and video recording not to work at all. So I guess the question is whether this information is up to date. Beyond that, here as well as on discord, users reported many more issues related to things fundamental to daily phone use, like mobile connectivity, battery life, and stability of core apps. Those problems are not mentioned at all on the project page, which lists the Pro1 and Pro1X as "officially supported". A brief, but honest, report about how us

  2. Gotcha and thanks. I have already swapped the display on my Pro1 via the unglueing, but I have another Pro1 where the display has simply stopped working, possibly due to the twin ribbon cable being plugged and unplugged so many times for various repairs, so was hoping a new frame would fix that, either that or try to find a new ribbon cable. That's a shame, I actually bought the above frame in the vain hope that it did fit, all but 2 of the screw holes and ribbon cable connectors all seem to be in the right place, at the very least it should tell me if it's the ribbon cable or frame that

  3. That one claims to be the Elephone U frame, which, if true and probably is, the frame won't work on the Pro1. There is one that claimed to have the frame for the Pro1 and I ordered one (it's in my closet-- luckily I haven't yet had a need for it). Unfortunately, they are out of the frame. They do have the display. https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256804876586192.html But any of the Elephone U displays, without a frame will work on the Pro1. Just have to un-glue the old display from the frame and glue the new one. I haven't done it, but from what people have said, it isn't super agg

  4. as far as I recall, yes, the rubber band trick had probably worked in my case but came too late in my knowledge. Yes You can also measure battery voltage, but if you fall under 3 volts your battery is probably dead. Be carefull if you want to disassemble it.
