I ordered QWERTZ and used an Idiegogo voucher as well. I'm guessing your email will arrive shortly. In any case, depending on how they ship these, it will take at least 7 to 10 days until these devices arrive. Just for customs you need to add 2 days since these are the first devices of that type to go through customs (I had the pleasure of that experience a decade ago...had to come to the customs office. People that had ordered the same device after me and that were in the area of that same custom office didn't have to go once mine got through) If they go by ship...well, takes at least 3

Dear Erik, with all due respect: Stop. As a fellow techie, this is NOT your job. This is the job of the communication department, wether they like it or not. It is literally in their name: They are supposed to communicate with customers.

From a software developer: I really hope that you learn from this. The way you go over replacing stuff is not by throwing out the old stuff the moment the new stuff arrives or the new stuff has been announced. Even if FxTec would have delivered on schedule, you would have had issues with the way you are trying to do it. The correct way - and believe me it is, at least in the general steps, the only correct way - is to 1. Order a test device 2. See if this test device has the neccessary capabilities 3. Mate, tone it down a bit, will ya? This isn't that much about the delay. It is about a lack of official communication which really isn't that difficult to do. The capitalized 'maybe' is exactly the point of conflict: This thread has been active for a few days now, on similiar forums of most companies it would have received an official answer or at least some kind of response. This company needs to learn to communicate. They have twitter channels and newsletters, yet they barely communicate anything useful at all. I get that delays happen, that is a normal thing, but one has to communicate that in advance and the reasons why. We are now nearly at the end of the 2nd week of september without any official information about what is going on.

nah, am from Germany. From the way it was phrased it sounded more like something VISA requires than an individual bank taking issue with.

Maybe someone from fxtec reads this: I got through to my bank, they removed the lock and told me the issue is that FXTec have not submitted/provided all neccessary information for credit card payments. They wouldn't tell me what was missing either.

Trying to pay with a VISA credit card and all I get is 'The card was declined'. The page doesn't tell me why and I don't even get forwarded to the 3D secure site.

I don't quite understand why we can't edit the pre-order thingi directly. As soon as they offer more layouts people will ask for that (editing the pre-order) anyway.

Just figured that it might be better to bundle these in to one thread instead of people creating multiple threads for these. For the record, all news articles I have seen up until now were just based upon or just reworded the newsletters you can find over in the 'Blog' section. Hoping we might get some stuff from the MWC.
