Not sure if this is the right topic to post this in. I am selling a Pro1 (QWERTY). Not looking on making a profit on it so I am selling it for the pre-order price of 667€ it came for. I am residing in the Netherlands and willing to ship it within the EU. If you are interested drop me a PM and I am sure we can work something out! 🙂 [edit] And sold! [/edit]

On my Bluetooth headset (Bose QC35II) its completely fine in every app. Only experience it the moment I plug my headset into the 3.5mm jack or use the phone speakers. It likely has something to do with bluetooth using a different audio codec/protocol.

I have been using my Pro1 with a bluetooth headset for quite a while and had to use a wired headset today. I too experience the horrible audio crackling bug. Also when using the phones internal speaker it pops/crackles all the time when using certain apps. Things like Spotify/Youtube work fine. But when I am using an app like "Rhythm Trainer" for example every beat gives a solid crackle/pop. The problem has been persisting for a while on the forums. I hope an OTA is soon otw for this :(.

Sorry, had some personal issues going on that drained alot of my time. Likely have time to work on the case next week again! 🙂 -

First testprint made last night. I've split the bottom up in 2 parts to figure out how well the fit is. there is some slight (2mm) missalignment of the buttons and usb-c header and the camera placement is slightly off. I can now properly add the chamfer which is about 1.5mm (eyeballed, stil got to measure that tonight) and correct these errors. I expect the next version to be a perfect tight fit. from thereon I can start designing the mold and order some silicone to give it a try. @EskeRahn I will try to add a slight "edge" to the top of the cover to latch on the phone -

Yes I will eventually, starting with the bottom part. once that one is working as intended I will start on the top part 👍. -

The chamfer is about 1-2mm. Right now I have taken the most outer dimension. Once I remove 1mm from that the silicone will fill in the empty space considering it will be stretched "over" it. +1 for the great photo btw! -

Just finished a quick sketch of the bottom part of the protective cover: Will run a test print tonight to get first dimensions with hard plastic to see how the shell fits, then adjust and further develop. The plan is that the fit should be about 0.5-1mm too tight. That way silicone will grab itself onto the enclosure :). The holes for the switches are temporary for allignment, on the end design these will be filled in with silicone aswell, that way the entire bottom is enclosed and the rockers will go slightly heavier from pressing the silicone layer between them. -

Thanks for the quick response. In that case I will draw one out from scratch with my caliper when I have the time 🙂 or perhaps @Erik knows someone at F(x)Tec who is willing to share a 3d model of the outer shell of the Pro1?😏 -

The first test molds will be transparant to make sure it all is a good fit. After that I will likely only produce them in black unless there is alot of interest in other colors (Every one of them will be produced at home and I do it purely as a hobby 😁. -

That I cannot answer yet, considering it all depends on how well the mold works out and the wear/tear on it. I dont own a vacuum chamber currently so when pouring I have to pour very slow to prevent a buildup on air bubbles. Once I got the first casts done I can give more information on how many I can produce on daily base next to my day job 😄 -

@Keyahnig I was planning to draw a 3d printed design for the Pro1. Do you happen to have the files in Fusion360 format (.STEP or other), I would love to customize it and see if I can make a decent mold for it to pour them out of silicone. If that works out properly I might be able to do a "small production" run on those for who needs a bumper 😁. -
The review I wrote for the Pro1, I never write reviews and it's in Dutch so be aware 🙂 : https://tweakers.net/productreview/228910/f(x)tec-pro1.html

Apps IN GENERAL - reccomandation&help
Bloodhoundje replied to Swond's topic in Pro1 - Thoughts & questions
I would like to recommend two camera apps that I have used on many phones before. Just installed it on my Pro1 and everything works flawlessly, even capturing in RAW format works like a charm: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.flavionet.android.camera.pro // for photocamera usage https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.flavionet.android.cinema.pro // for filming Both Camera FV-5 and Cinema FV-5 work and the photo quality seems very nice. RAW/JPG format is too large to add here, but i added a shot with resized JPG output, pixel size is 3000x4000px on th -
+1 for this feature, most of the times I grab my phone it shows "too many attempts" and I still have to manually unlock. Just grabbing the phone from my pocket or holding it in my right hand makes my palm touch the sensor and fail the attempts. Enable after the display is On would be the perfect fix for me.
