Somehow I felt it obvious smartphone is then the choise to list, thinking over it consciously however... I myself used an n900 followed by a slab followed by a nokia e72 and then slab again, so i should know better :D. What I meant is featurephones, alas polls are not editable.

Not everyone is desperate/brave/stupid/cool enough to join a pre-order, especially before seeing completely ready final hardware. The faster retail straightforward sales begin the easier it'd be for the phones to advertise themselves and bring keyboards back in style :).

Well then most of the weight is on the screen side which isn't nice and most of those cases that existed before are of pretty low quality sadly.

Some did a similar thing more seriously with iphone keyboard cases and the likes. Alas the pictures are gone since the forum move but here's a thread from someone who went on such endeavor:

Angry mob is probably an overstatement but some of this thread seems a bit tense and dramatic to me :D. It's understandable though, I also feel impatient and somewhat concerned with the relative silence from F(x)tecs side but I don't believe we can make the phones come faster by furiously posting to a forum... And I guess complaints about communication seem somewhat justified but I just personally don't care much, I know specs of the phone and such so the next thing is I want the phone and i want it NOW but that's an unreasonable demand :D.

I have no inside info but I have faith they'll get it all going, a lot of it is already in the hands of a logistics company probably and when stuff gets to the warehouses it'll go pretty fast. And I have good hope the angry mob will calm down a bit when people can actually show they are receiving phones xD.

Everyone is eagerly awaiting on any news about that I think... Should be any time now that many people actually receive shipment notifications, and I am sure the forums will be on fire when that begins :).

The support via the contact form on the website or e-mail is pretty responsive however, if you want to modify or cancel an order or get straight answers about logistics and the likes that's where to contact them.

It was stated by @Erik there will probably be a pouch instead of a case as they were not statisfied with the quality of the cases they managed to make so far, in the production updates thread. I'm personally not sad as I like the idea of a pouch better and don't really see how a case could work.

My current plan is root the stock android and make it nice, but I'll be watching lineage and maybe changing my mind :).

I don't think the keyboard should be calculated in as a factor, but it's indeed very typical for phone releases to get delayed. It's Hofstadter's law in action.
