    Mine is sitting in Memphis, TN right now because for some odd reason customs decided I must be an importer and I'm in a paperwork mess trying to convince them otherwise.  I'm wondering if Expansys mislabeled.  This one came straight from HK to Memphis, when usually these come Anchorage to Memphis, so maybe it's just that the customs folks in TN don't know what they are doing.   I have communications in to everyone and no one does anything on the week-ends.  Just my luck. Lol.

    Most likely Expansys mislabeled. FedEx did the same when delivering my Pro1 to me after it was repaired at F(x)tec. Which leads to the annoying situation, that despite being the importer, you can not influence the customs process. Basically, FedEx was holding my package hostage and threatening to send it back, if I don't agree to them taking care of the customs process and paying them for it.

  2. To add some information: I have a original Pro1 (no X) with LineageOS 18.1 (didn't have time to update to 19 yet) and I have been using Nova Launcher on it for a long time now. A few days ago I experienced the issue you're describing for the first time. I suspect it could be related to the fact, that I recently I updated a bunch of apps via Playstore, including some Google Apps, that work quite deep in the system, e.g. Device Health Services, Google and Digital Wellbeing.

  3. In the hope that it might lead to them fixing their inbox system at some point, I'd suggest you to use keywords as "urgently" or "as soon as possible" in your emails. I have the feeling that mentioning them gets messages to be prioritised. At least I suddenly got answers within a day to such an email...

    I kinda feel bad for even mentioning it. But on the other hand their communication sucks so much, that I deem it acceptable.

    You don't know when and if it'll ring. My "test" is the charging cable. If it doesn't make the charging sound, it's on "mute"

    Interesting, so there actually is a bug relating the volume. Apologies to @Joey for assuming the error was on your side.

  5. For me this appears regularly after the phone went to Energy Saving Mode (I have the setting active, that it automatically does that below 15% remaining charge).

    The same with the issue of some apps not being able to use the internet, even though in others it works (described in the AICP thread). That also happens while Energy Saving Mode is active and persists even when the phone is recharged afterwards.

    So from my experience I would have suspected Energy Saving Mode as the culprit. But as some here seem to observe the same issue(s) without it, it maybe really is about heavy usage causing a too quick energy drain, which then triggers some system meant to slow down the discharge or protect the battery. 

  6. This thread might be related to the touch issue you're describing. 

    The rest of what you're mentioning is not really related to the Pro1 I think. The OS installed is basically pure Android 9 (with a few bugs and missing functionalities for this particular phone).

    You say, you didn't have DND on, but still didn't receive any notifications. Never heard anyone else here describe this problem, so are you sure, you didn't just have your notification/call sound level on 0?

    And about not being able to close apps: If you cannot figure out, how the gesture navigation (present in all later Android versions btw.) works, there is a setting to go back to the classic navigation bar with -back,home,recent- buttons.

    I think I actually have the same/a similar problem on LineageOS 18.1

    Edit: Observed it so far on Google Maps and the app "MVG Fahrinfo" (for public transport in Munich) and I think on a few more apps, which I currently cannot recall. But everytime it happened, it was only concerning some apps and was fixed by a reboot.

    By uninstalling Fxservice. But basically it is enough if you turn off accessibility services. Maybe you have some other apps using them?

    Or another possible cause:

    Under Settings>System>Language and Input>Language you can set the system language. But there is a seperate option under Settings>System>Language and Input>Physical Keyboard>Builtin Keyboard, that manages the keyboard outputs. It has to be set to German for the outputs to match the print of the QWERTZ model.

    Edit: I am on the newest Release of 19.1 LineageOS (November 29) and just want to type German Umlauts with the German keymap

    What symbols do you get, if you try to type the Umlauts? I had the problem, that I had Fxservice installed on LineageOS 18.1, which triggered the bug with accessibilty services and prevented the German layout to be used. So instead I was getting [ and similar symbols instead. Could that be your problem?

  10. Correct me, if I'm wrong, but isn't it expected, that the device doesn't show up under adb devices as soon as you rebooted into fastboot mode?

    At least it was that way for me today and I was still able to flash the latest Lineage version. Didn't have to unlock the bootloader as I did that previously, but the instruction here https://wiki.lineageos.org/devices/pro1/install only uses adb to get to fastboot mode and continues with fastboot commands.

    Turns out, they indeed had answered within a week and my mail provider had apparently decided, that I don't want to recieve some emails already before my inbox limit was fully reached.

    I sent them an inquiry recently and they answered within nine days. So I guess if anyone doesn't get an answer for more than two weeks, they should just try again.

    Also my phone was already repaired in July, so they were almost right with their initial projection of how long the repair process would take. Only took one month longer, which is kinda good for their standards :D

    Within a specific messenger or generally? And do you mean that the on-screen emoji selection doesn't even come up while you are using the physical keyboard? Or would you just want to use the keyboard directly to select emojis from there?

    In those cases, did you also get one part of the picture focused and the other blurry? Because the picture of @agent008looks more like what me and some others were experiencing. And that is apparently caused by some hardware defect in the camera module. In other threads a misaligned lens or problems with the stabilizer were named as possible causes.

    Or am I just misjudging the sharpness within the picture? Looking at it closer, the left side also seems blurry. Maybe it was only seeming to be stronger on the right side, where it's darker.

    Just FWIW; after brief talk with support (wanted to claim warranty) they made me tighten the *inner* screws (didn't know about those - they act as the hinge axis). Now the rattling is back to something I agreed to call okay.

    I tried to tighten the bottom screw too (the one holding the support arm) to no luck. Basically the screw is too thin or the hinge is too wide. Now I see a way out though; next time I will take the thing apart I'll try to get hold of some PTFE sticky tape, they come in different thicknesses and just stick it around the screw; hopefully that will keep the thing in good shape until the end of the world.

    By the way, of course I broke off the fingerprint reader. Stupid me. During the reassembly, I noticed some rubber part fell off the phone and didn't bother putting it down while looking for it; of course the cover with the flex attached slipped out of my hand and broke off. Thankfully the fxtec can send me a new back cover (which includes the sensor) for GBP 46, which is manageable..

    Had I known it was that easy to fix, I wouldn't have sent my phone in back then. But good to see, that it can be solved at home.
