To me it is. I don't have, and belive no-one in there right mind should keep, a Facebook profile. I based my pre-order on the case argument on there officials website. A product that, aside from not beeing able to preview, is mandatory for me and not available for order. I won't pay shipping twice in order to get a case for such a specific design, and i won't use the phone without one. But at this point i won't even consider Fxtec "giving one out" to make me happy. Wait what ? I preordered in August, it was still written pre-order everywhere, and it was stated before that all pre-order went with both a case and headphones. Pre-order officially stop when you order, so at payments time. Please confirme soon, as this isn't what i payed for 😞

data transfers isn't always there, and almost never in usb3 speed or with hdmi support (found only one for macbook) so for android auto for example, it's not viable

I honestly no-longer trust the pro1 to be successfully enough anymore to bet a LTS phone. I wanted that phone to be a very long lasting phone, but with how many view there is on the video, the hype going down and people giving up because of delay... i'm not sur fxtec will win enough money on the product to justify LTS. So i am thinking about cancelling to. I love that phone, but i no longer trust it's future, and i already have a samsung Q1 ultra on my shelf. I don't need another awesome but dead piece of tech.

I realise that my use make no sense, but because i'm use to, and i can, i don't see why would i do othewise. I use the vpn to access home service that i wouldn't want to see facing the open web, the vm to run local client who don't have valid alternative on android, and tasker, aside from being my "on call alarm" is full of time saving automation i spend the last 9y setting up. Api call are what's using batteries. I'm not saying that this phone is bad because of it's battery, it's very reasonable and will suffice to most people. It's just that it won't be an upgrade and i'm ok with it.

The issue isn't really the phone, but in my car i have a fixed, non removable phone holder, with 2 support under the phone, on each side of the middle ... where most phone had there cable. the support will block access to the phone usb c :(

I just checked on my LG G6 and the 3200mah battery don't do me a full day, i have to charge it in my car on the way back from work (thing i would not be able to do with the pro1 since the USB C is not aligned :( ) So i was a bit sad to see what i think is a "small" battery for my use case. On the other hand, i always carry a 30K mah battery, so i won't fall short any time. it just won't be better. And yes, 24/7 vpn + a linux vm in the background + tasker + auto sync with my home lab ... i'm not a normal user... poor phone
